Re: FM USING LFOS

Tone, yes I use and love those max modulation tools, but I have assumed (I may be wrong of course) that all of those modulations are at more of a "message-rate" frequency as opposed to audio rate. I haven't tested but my theory is that probably we can get a 1 ms accuracy with the message-rate contro...

Re: FM USING LFOS

I doubt live controls and parameters can be modulated at audio-rate. The processing overhead would be enormous. However, the LFO inside operator can be tuned and used as another audio rate modulator.

Re: 8 bit 11khz? help on exporting in this fashion

Yeah for the crispness you have to print an image of your waveform to a dot matrix printer and draw the waveform back in by hand with an audio editor that has pencil draw.

Re: I want to loop without warp

Some other options to explore: put the sample in simpler ( or sampler) and set your clip to be a midi clip with one note. Many options to transpose: pitch bend, automation, and others. It is possible to get an infinite loop if you set the clip loop brace to start AFTER note start and end BEFORE note...

Re: sega genesis vst?

Necropost! Nowadays I use sam's VOPM synth for imitating the genesis. It's perfect. I don't understand the screen but I managed to find a library of sounds from every genesis game. Also it has some dirty tricks: for example really quiet sounds have way more bit noise. Slap abletons utility effect af...

Re: *sigh* A Skrillex Sound I Want to Make

the tones in some parts remind me of a vocoder. ableton vocoder is capable of a wide range of sounds, if you have the patience to experiement. i also hear a lot of cut/paste in skrillex basslines. very similar to tom cosm's glitchy bassline tutorial, which you should definitely look up if you want t...

Re: Routing automation with VSTs !

best m4l patch for what you are trying to do: covert operator's "16 macros"
i use it with multi-timbral set-ups (a single omnisphere over 8 tracks in ableton), it works great.

Re: Exported song lacks clarity

trippin, try playing your rendered audio wav file through ableton, with warping turned off. This at least could test whether something unintended is happening when you play back through foobar. (I use foobar too) Also, I have heard that you should try to render with "normalize" turned off, and, befo...
