Re: Assigning footswitch ports?

^ Ok, just so I understand what you're saying, if I put Push in User Mode, then I can use FS2 for Looper and to toggle recoding in clips? Because as of now, in Native mode, neither port does anything. On the APC40, my footswitch in FS2 was brilliant for live looping guitars into clips, but I can't ...

Re: Assigning footswitch ports?

The outer one is for hold (sustain), inner for record toggle. I don't believe they can be reassigned in native mode... (i'm probably wrong). OK, that makes sense, and I'm fine not being able to reassign anything in Native mode, but I still can't get either jack to do anything unless Push is in User...

Re: Assigning footswitch ports?

I hope that's not the case but it may be so. They do work properly in User mode though so I can't see why I shouldn't be able to get at least the sustain pedal to work with instruments I'm playing in Note mode.

Why they aren't addressed in the manual is a bit of a head-scratcher...

Assigning footswitch ports?

I'm trying to set up my footswitch ports but I'm not having any success. I'd like to set up my sustain pedal so that it works with the instruments I'm playing in Note mode, and I'd like to use my expression pedal so that I can map it to other Live controls. There is a lack of any info about the foot...

Re: Live 9's new Browser - tutorial

Nothing. I just checked and Orchestral doesn't work, I've filed a bug report. Try another category. Cool- thanks for your help funken (and thanks for the tutorial as well, I ignored the browser quirks during my brief time with the beta so this was really helpful) That actually makes me feel a lot b...

Re: Live 9's new Browser - tutorial

Very clear tutorial - thanks! You may want to add a description of how to make User Library instrument racks show under Sounds alongside Ableton racks as I'm not sure it is really explained in the manual. If you save your own racks in the User Library under Instruments/Bass, Instruments/Pad, etc. t...

Re: Live 9 Library - Only orchestral packs to external drive?

. Change the default path for the "large packs" in the preferences and then install them via the Menue or put the file to the dedicated directory you want to have them and then mark them all at once and drop them via Explorer/Finder to Places. Then it needs some time. So be patient. Michael I'm not...

Re: SP-555 as an EXTERNAL EFFECTS UNIT with Ableton

EDITED due to incorrect answer- sorry, don't have an SP-555, although you could simply hardwire it to the ins and outs of your Mbox and select the appropriate connections within the External Effect I/O menu.

Re: Controlling/Automating DSI Tetra

I just wanted to post a link to the 2 Tetra controllers I created, in large part based on trevox's devices from the first post as well as a couple other Tetra controllers floating around out there. Thanks to everyone from whom I appropriated examples! I expanded and combined them, adding in most of ...

Re: Controlling/Automating DSI Tetra

These patches are set up to work when you have your Tetra in either program mode or combo multi mode (send separate instances out different channels). If you want to control/automate in other modes, it is possible by offsetting the cc parameters. If you have 2 separate voices (A&B in program mode),...

This looks really interesting- but since this is an old thread and the link goes to the now defunct Megaupload site it's no longer accessible- any chance it can be re-uploaded somewhere else?

Manage Library- how do I turn off "require exact matches"?

I'm trying to replace some missing media files in my library and a couple of the options that should be available under the "automatic search" menu don't seem to be there- specifically, when I unfold the triangle by the automatic search option I can set a specific folder to search and I can enable o...

Re: change control changes 0-127 to -24 to +24 integer semitones

Will do what Stefan asked originally, Towers, have a look at the round object? if not then the route object, with a list of all the values you wish to exclude and connect to the far right output for the values you want.... Cheers D Awesome- that seems to do the trick...now I need to read up on pitc...

Re: change control changes 0-127 to -24 to +24 integer semitones

A little off track but sort of a continuation of what Stefan is looking to do, and Monolake's patch above got me close to my answer- I'm wondering if you can use the scale object contained in Monolake's patch to not just output integer values, but quantize those values even further. Specifically, I'...
