Quantization for pitch bend CC?

This could be a really simple question, but I'm a Max n00b and I can't seem to come up with a good answer on my own- I recently got an Eowave Ribbon that I've really been enjoying using with Live. However, when I use it to output pitch data it does so essentially as a pitch bender- it transmits note...

Re: Live beat chopping?

Is there no way to get this on the fly clip chopping ability? It seems that there are tons of options for those who want to chop up prerecorded clips in MLR fashion, but for the live performer there's always a catch. It's really hard to find info on "live clip chopping" as the word live is in Ablet...

Re: MPK mini -- Macro issues

@jeeves.207- The auto-map functionality isn't, well, automatic, for lack of a better word! Basically, Mothergarage's UserConfiguration script you reference needs to be installed in the correct spot, the MPK mini needs to be selected in Live's Control Surface dropdown menu and "Remote" needs to be tu...

Good luck :)
The circle button is actually the Record Arm button- the monitor controls are the buttons above the channel in/outs that say In, Auto and Off.

Re: Advanced Midi mapping help

The Axiom does have preset recall, and it's easiest to use the Enigma editing software to set up your presets then upload them to your Axiom. It also has a "Zone" feature which will allow you to set the keyboard up in a split configuration like you wanted, check that out in the manual, it will tell ...

Re: MPD18 won't work as control surface

[quote="staplesyrup" But thats not how control surfaces work - you're just using your MPD18 as a straight forward midi controller. I want to lock the control surface to the drum track with the blue hand, which means you won't need to arm the track to play the pads.[/quote] That's actually not what t...

Right. Your Axiom should have a "Glob Chan" button- that's the one.

Good luck

Re: Akai MPK Mini Script

@mattadms
In your ReadMe file you may want to also mention that the "Remote" button for the MPK Input in Live's MIDI Preference's menu needs to be on or the knobs won't work....I have a feeling that might solve several of the previous posters issues....

Re: Got the Akai MPK Mini Knobs to work in Live/Default Settings

Go to Options/Preferences/Midi Sync and look for the Input: MPK Mini in the "Midi Ports" area. Make sure that the box for "Remote" is checked. You should be good to go at that point. I also found that I needed to have my MPK Mini plugged into the USB port of my laptop BEFORE I start Live, otherwise...

Re: video of audio routing problem

It's because you never changed the Input source of track 3. In your video you're not turning the track into a mic input by routing other audio tracks to it, you just aren't completing the last step by changing the input of track 3 to another audio track. Plus, in order to route multiple audio tracks...

Re: Switching Tracks Using Buttons Or Pads On M-Audio Axiom?

Yes-there are a couple ways you can do this- You can use the arrow keys on your QWERTY keyboard to move back and forth from track to track, and you can also MIDI Map the buttons and Pads on your Axiom to select a specific track. Open the MIDI Mapping screen and click on the name of the track to map ...

Re: Akai MPK Mini Script

Oh and thanks mattadms, your script has been really useful. I just got an MPK Mini last friday, loaded up your script in Ableton that afternoon and used it for a gig that night with no issues, so cheers for that

Re: Akai MPK Mini Script

@Khertz- make sure you look all the way at the bottom of your Control Surfaces list. It appears that only Live's stock control surfaces are listed in alphabetical order, at least on my machine any custom devices I add show up at the end of the list, they aren't sorted by name
