Hmmm, strange... Have you tried this with a variety of source material? Does it happen consistently?
I'd say maybe try raising your buffer to something like 1024 and see if it still does it, or perhaps load the clicking clip into RAM and see if that makes any difference

Re: click on loop in arrangent view
It's most likely due to the loop point not being a zero-crossing point. You probably have the loop point set at a point where there is still some audio, and that's what is causing the click. Zoom in tight at the beginning and end of your loop. the loop points should be as close to the point where th...

Re: Sampler retrigger mode?
Figured it out- there are actually two ways- there is a Retrigger button in the Volume envelope section, but for greater control I was able to map some of the Sustain mode buttons to a key and mapped the loop start and end points to a knob and so I got the effect I was looking for.

Sampler retrigger mode?
Kind of a n00b question, perhaps, but is there a retrigger mode for Sampler? I've been watching the Elektron Octotrack demo videos and it seems like most of the features can be duplicated by Live. However, I can't seem to figure out how to duplicate a dynamic retrigger function without a workaround....

Re: M4L device to control "Original BPM" and "Seg. BPM" field?
Thanks for the reply- that's too bad, I was hoping to be able to make it automatable somehow. The only good workaround I've found is to just record a new clip that is fed from the track containing the audio or MIDI clip I'm attempting to uncouple from the global tempo. I can play my arrangement and ...

M4L device to control "Original BPM" and "Seg. BPM" field?
I'm looking to have a device to dynamically control those parameters but I'm not sure if it is possible. I have M4L but so far I've just been using other people's devices so I'm a total n00b to actually building my own. What I'm looking to do is dynamically control the tempo of just a particular cli...

Re: Trigging synths with midi
Thanks for a good reply! What I need it to do is to act as a trigger that turns things on and off. Half of the fun is playing with ADSR while playing the chords live. Guess thats not going to be easy to do with the Voyager. Damnit! I think you can do this with the Voyager, but probably not with MID...

Re: intuitive kaoss pad/MPC like midi looping
I think I may be misunderstanding part of your question so sorry if this doesn't help, but you can pre-specify the loop length beforehand- just arm the track you'll want to be looping on, and double click in an empty clip slot to the right of the clip launch/record button. An empty clip will appear ...

Groove Tubes "The Brick".
Basic but sounds great as a mic preamp or tube DI box. Not a starved plate design like a lot of lower price t00b pre's

Re: Possible to Save MIDI Mapping for foot controller?
Yeah, kind of what I figured, especially since the looper controls aren't mapped to specific CC's as it is. I guess that's what I'm more curious about- is there a way to bid the controls of looper to certain CC #'s. If my FBV is always set to transmit certain CC's for each pedal press, than all I ne...

Possible to Save MIDI Mapping for foot controller?
I've got a Line 6 FBV Shortboard MKII which I've really been enjoying, especially in conjunction with Ableton's looper. I use the same buttons on the FBV for all my MIDI mapping and I'd love to be able to save something like a Looper presets so that whenever I want to use it with the FBV mapping I c...

Record Production Month starts in a few days- sign up now...
The 5th annual RPM Challenge is going to be kicking off in just a few days. I know several people on this forum have participated in the past, and to those who haven't, this could be the year to give it a shot... The RPM Challenge is to record an an album (10 songs or at least 35 minutes of music) d...

Re: Is Abletons Business Model Broken?
I think you neglect the fact that Live is the industry-standard live performance software. Yes there are a couple-of-dozen DAWs out there, but Live is the only one you see being used for performance everywhere . I don't see MainStage or Reason taking Live's place any time soon. A mature product can...

Oblique...I didn't know that with the Werner Herzog movies and Popol Vuh, must check those. You will love it. Wonderful. It's some of the most perfect meshing of music & cinema I've ever experienced. Hypnotizes you & puts you into a dream... Yeah, the movies are great to begin with but Popo...

Using Ableton and Modul8 on same laptop for live performance
I just dipped my foot into the world of VJ software and so far I'm enjoying it. I'm now at the point where I want to start using Modul8 live, but I've got a few logistical questions- I run Ableton as my main live performance software alongside live instrumentation. I'm pretty conservative with my li...
