BoxDJ wrote:What VST's are the mainstream artists using nowadays? People such as Guetta, deadmau5, Daft Punk, Usher, etc.

I assume that most of them are using NI Komplete 7. What can you guys pick out?
Deadmau5 certainly uses FXpansions's synths and Xfer's Nerve for drums.

+1 for Omnisphere.
You can spend you time fiddling about with samples or Live's built in fx etc or get Omnisphere/Absynth/Alchemy, use the presets and concentrate on songwriting.

Re: Anyone seriously use arrangement?

Never see it. Love my Live! Meaningless response. You called Logic etc. bloated CPU hogs. Live is the CPU hog bar none, if you had spent any time in any other software, you would know this. Many many reasons to love Live, it's CPU efficiency is not one of them. +1 logic CPU hog, wow! man you really...

Or is Cubase and Logic users also strugling with the same amount of bugs.

Just curious
Out of the bunch I've used (Cubase 5, PT8, Logic8) only Energy XT2 is more prone to just crash out of the blue.

If their inability to design a usable survey/spellchecker is anything to go by, I doubt they've a hit on their hands.

Re: Opening Omnisphere/Stylus in Multi Channel Output?

Once you've got Omni on a MIDI track, create another one with the External Instrument plug on it. With the External Instrument plug set the "MIDI TO" to the OMNI MIDI track and under that select the OMNI channel of choice (1-8), "AUDIO FROM" to the OMNI channel of choice (A-H) and rinse and repeat f...

Re: Add locators based on time, not tempo

+1, Live's potential for film/video work is enormous but crippled by the lack of simple things like lockable markers.
