yes I need a slicer, but not when I'm working on my mpc , I only need a slicer when working in ableton.

Do you know how many classic records, professional records, and timeless records were made with not much more than an mpc with 16-32megs of ram

it boggles the mind.

got a macbook, run xp almost exclusively, runs flawlessly via bootcamp.

are there any disadvantages to keeping your all of your fx and instrument plugs on another drive with your samples and plugin soundbanks?

or do you keep them on the root drive i'm asking about mac and pc?

I'll start out by saying I haven't read this whole pissing contest. I'm not here to argue with any of the points put forth here but just add something I've been thinking about a lot regarding his topic: No one goes to a museum to see a great painter paint.
