Re: visual feedback to launchpad user 1 in maxforlive.

This is one place where Monomodular would really come in handy, as it essentially adds a 'User3' mode (the Monomodular mode is accessed by pressing both User1 and User2 @ the same time, leaving both the regular User modes for other stuff), and there is already a framework in place for talking to the...

Re: Switch pan to another send at the APC40

I've released several modified versions of Hanz's script that turn the pan into a fourth send (along with lots of other cool stuff) ...you can find them via my blog. If your not interested in using the scripts as they are, you can always pull out the pertinent sections and modify them to your own ta...

Re: A Simple 1-8 bar loop recorder, synced...please help.

Thanks PID! Good ideas from you too.... I don't seem to get any clicks with a single record buffer, but I had to do some crazy math to get there. I was having random crashes with the new ~ipoke until last night when I updated to 10.6, now everything seems to be stable. I want to start experimenting ...

Re: A Simple 1-8 bar loop recorder, synced...please help.

I'm experimenting with a looper I built using a combination of ~groove, ~record, and ~ipoke, and ~el.buffet. The synchronization thing is the rough one, beleive me. My requirements were that it be capable of grabbing the loop even if I hit the 'start' button late before or after the start of the qua...

Re: Monomodular Thread (b99: Ohm64, Block, iPad, Launchpad)

I've released a preliminary script for the Block that emulates the Launchpad, provides flashing LED feedback, two user modes, and a Monomodular layer. The only documentation currently available is an entry on my blog, but the Launchpad emulation is pretty simple. I don't have much time to spend test...

Re: Monomod Thread (b99)

b99 release....follow the bread crumbs. Public release currently supports iPad (TouchOSC), Livid Ohm64 RGB and Monochrome, and Launchpad. OSX only for now, but there's only a few missing files to make it work (zeroconf for Windows...). Read the blog...my docs suck, I know, but if I spent the time ne...

Re: Monomod Thread (b99)

Just got back from vacation, and trying to get things together to publish this weekend. Here's the details: http://aumhaa.blogspot.com/2011/07/breaking-silence.html Cheers, a p.s. in response to question about the Livid monome bridge: Monomodular replaces the need for it. Sorry for the late response...

Re: Monomod Thread (b932, Monotes)

Ohm64 Support is complete. I've been testing the current build for the last week or two, and everything seems to be working except some of the pattr stuff in a few client patches. Hopefully I'll be able to get this cleared up pretty quickly. I'm currently reintegrating the TouchOSC template into the...

Re: M4L and multithreading

I think the whole premiss of this discussion is wrong: its my understanding that all m4l processes run in a single thread. I'd love to be wrong, or to have a definitive answer from someone who knows for certain, at least.... a edit: checked my notes...I guess its just js and API stuff (which I deal ...

There is a much better version on its way (more efficient/uses racks) but I haven't had a chance to publish it. If this doesn't do enough for you, drop me some mail and I'll send you the new one.

Cheers :)

Re: Monomod Thread (b932, Monotes)

Took a look at what you sent me....not really telling me anything, to be honest. I think there might be some other files with better info, I'll look into it. Are you running WIn7 64bit? I have had one user having specific problems (but not identical) related to running the 64 bit version, I think. S...

Re: Monomod Thread (b932, Monotes)

I think that the most recent version of Max I've tested Monomod with is 5.17 (that's what I have installed on my dev machine right now....kind of behind the times version wise because I haven't had time for coding anything new lately)....has this behavior started since you upgraded to 5.17? Also, a ...

Re: Monomod Thread (b932, Monotes)

ewwweee. That doesn't sound nice. Not being an XP user, it'll be hard for me to help you isolate the cause, but first things first: can you dig up a crash log for this? If you suspect bonjour as the source of the problem, you can just remove the external from your Max library and the plugs will stil...

Re: Can Anybody else reproduce this bit of oddness?

'immediate' is not a solution....in my own experience, it has been the most reliable means to ensure that your patch ALWAYS crashes. Sorry :(

edit:: to clarify: according to my information, the 'immediate' attribute is not correctly supported in m4l.
