Re: Can Anybody else reproduce this bit of oddness?

I stay away from MIDI processing with js for this very reason....everything runs low priority, and in a single thread in m4l. That means if the API takes a hit for whatever reason (redraws, etc.), timing gets wonky. You'll get a pause in the output, then a stacked output of everything that got dropp...

Re: How to set up lh_midiinout

These may not work on Tiger.....you might contact Leigh Hunt and ask him about it (you can look in the older posts for his info). I'm thinking that what he used for development of these externals isn't backwards compatible (from 10.5).

You are using OSX, right? These externals don't work on PC....

Re: How to set up lh_midiinout

If you aren't getting any ins/outs, you probably haven't installed the external correctly. Make sure you've got the external placed in:

Applications/Max5.xx/Cycling '74/max-externals

Restart Max and Live after you've done this. Hopefully that helps.

Cheers

Re: Max4Live Catanya arpegiator like patch ?

Polygome will do a lot of that sort of stuff....you have to build your own presets. Also, there is tintinabulome. Both are Stretta Monome patches, I ported them to monomodular a while ago.

Cheers.

Re: Monomod Thread (b932, Monotes)

Hey there hgt, I've been crawling towards a new release of the MonOhmod stuff (for the Ohm64) for a couple of months now. If you've been following the blog, you probably already know that there are going to be some cool new features added to the Remote_Script to allow back-end access to the same fun...

Re: What should i do to make jsattributes work with pattrstorage

Right....sorry, I didn't mean that my patch itself was the solution, just that the method I used for linking the js to a pattr worked. There is no need for custom get/set attribute functions if you are only linking it to a single variable. By default, getvalueof() will be called when the pattr reque...

Re: What should i do to make jsattributes work with pattrstorage

I had problems with that bit earlier in my js career. I think that you can only actually save one attribute per js with a linked pattr. I merely seperate an array with a symbol, and parse it back in when I reload the patch. Have a look at my collstore js, it might be a possible solution for you: htt...

Re: customizing remote application control with Max for live

The modifications to the Launchpad can be made directly through the use of the API integration in m4l. You can override the functionality of the default portion of the control_surface script and assign your own functions. However, the ZeroSL does not use the Python _Framework scripts as its basis (a...

Re: Octop4d - For Launchpad

@ myralfur....I'm very close to releasing the final version of my Python script for the Ohm64. It will make it very easy to implement a version of your patch as a Monomodular client, or to build a standalone patch that accesses the controller directly. Drop me a line, and maybe we can get this knock...

Re: "Collect All and Save" doesn't collect files my device needs

If you freeze a m4l device, its dependencies are packaged in the patch file. The file will then be saved when you "Collect all and Save". This should solve most of your problems. However, if you are using non-Max filetypes (e.g. xml for pattrstorage), they will still not be included.

Re: Bug: Midi Out from M4L Devices sometimes not working.

I do some similar things to what you are describing with Monomodular, and I've encountered similar problems (although not identical, so I'm in the dark as to the cause or a solution). However, I would recommend using Leigh Hunt's externals for sending MIDI directly out of your patch to the IAC bus i...

Re: Limitations of M4L (e.g. rack access)

I've posted most of my finished patches to maxforlive.com. I'm glad there is a repository for such things. On the other hand, I often have to spend too much time trying to post devices there. I can't upload a zipped bundle of all the patches required for a full Suite with their associated externals,...

Re: LOM propeties vs functions

What he said. But more to the point, its going to be tough to rap your head around without examining the base level of all the API stuff: Python. If you have a look at the uncompiled Python scripts, you will see that all the Functions for each Class in the controller script will be available as func...
