Re: Libya

Come on people, let's show a bit of optimism here. This was a revolution by the people (with a small amount of help), not instigated by the west. Remember when communism collapsed across eastern europe and the cold war came to an end? Remember feeling that everything might just be ok afterall? I'd ...

Re: Purchasing Live/Suite

Personally, I love Live, so I think you're making a good choice there. However, I am not sure that Suite was worth it for me because I haven't found the additional instruments that usable. Despite the fact that I own the Live instruments I actually use 3rd party soft synths a lot more. Hope this helps

Re: *sigh* A Skrillex Sound I Want to Make

skrillex is like a metal guitarist doing a wanker solo with his stupid basslines. leave it to an american douche bag too completely fuck up dubstep. eh? Whatever happened to music is a personal preference? And anyway this doesn't sound like dub step to me. But I like it anyway. Back to the original...

Re: MusicRadar's Best DAW vote

One more vote for Live I've used most of the major DAW's out there and still rate it best for muso's - Reason, never liked much and still dont. I actually like the look of if and got used to the whole routing thing, but quite frankly I dont rate how it sounds. To me it sounds "plasticky" - Cubase: s...

Re: Tasp - We Are All Connected - 138 BPM Psy

Hey, not bad at all. I think this is solid. The only comment on the production I have is regarding the keyboards (specifically the "bleepy" sounds). Every so often they really come together and fuse into an exciting cauldrum of sound. What I am missing in the "build up" or "rolling phases", however,...

Yeah I like what you've done here. The beat is groovy and I love the sound design on those field recordings. Very cool

Re: pre-unemployment freak out

Hi Beats First of all, my thoughts are with you, heading into a period of unkown. To be honest, I really like the first reply by LoopStationZebra. I reckon that more than 90% of the battle with unemployment is the mental game. And you deal with that through a disciplined job-search "programme" as ot...

*sigh*... I wish there were default settings. I have the Korg NanoKontrol... and its a pain that you can't use the same controls on different channels depending on which channel is active

Re: MIDI input about to overflow

I dont know what that error means, but why dont you try bounce just the track(s) with the large amounts of midi information to their own audio tracks, and then bounce down the master.
