Re: A tip on APC40 setup with USB Audio Device.

On my system (WinXP SP3), the first device shows as "USB Audio Device," the second as "USB Audio Device (2)," and so on. Only the first has no number. I have three devices, the APC40, USB EWI, and Korg nanoKontrol.

Re: A tip on APC40 setup with USB Audio Device.

Tone's got it right. It looks like Windows assigns usb audio devices in the order in which it sees them. So, if you always start APC40 first, it will always be UAD #1. Of course, that is what you would choose in Live's preferenced for the APC40 in/out. But, if you start another UAD (say, an EWI USB ...

Re: A tip on APC40 setup with USB Audio Device.

TekMonkee, What version of Live? I think you need 7.0.15 or higher, although the APC40 installation disk uses 7.0.13. On its opening screen it says it is a special version for use with the APC20. But, I had the same problems with it, until I figured out what I've said in this thread. Try what I sugg...

Re: A tip on APC40 setup with USB Audio Device.

Tone, Maybe I'm not uderstanding you, or what you mean by automapping. There is no problem using the APC40 along with other controllers. Right now I am using APC40 to control Live 8, and a BCR-2000 to control parameters in the OP-X Pro synth. There's a FAQ here that talks about using other controlle...

Re: A tip on APC40 setup with USB Audio Device.

I'm afraid you folks have misunderstood me. There is no problem using other devices with the APC40. If you read what I said, you will see I never said there was. I posted this only to help others who may have a similar problem to mine in the intitial setup. On MY system, it appears the USB Audio Dev...

Re: Can someone upload the APC 40 manual?

I'll confirm that. Not much info, but enough I guess. The APC40 is pretty simple and intuitive.

Re: A tip on APC40 setup with USB Audio Device.

I think it just helped the APC40 get straight. :) I am able to use my other devices. Apparently, when I attached the APC40, Live got confused about which "USB Audio Device" represented which hardware. If someone is having problems, it might help to unassign all controllers in Preferences, then add t...

A tip on APC40 setup with USB Audio Device.

I just got my APC40, and upgraded to Live Suite 8. I had a problem with the APC40 and Live seeing each other. When I loaded a project, even a new one, I'd get no response from the APC40. The solution, at least for me on my system, was to go to MIDI Sync (in Preferences) and set all my Control Surfac...

Re: APC 40 30 DAYS DELAYED...

My friendly (and I mean, a friend) salesman at the local Guitar Center says they have three, and won't sell them until June 1. With a little luck, he'll be able to save one for me. But, my hopes are not that high. I am prepared to be disappointed for another month or so.

Re: Huskervu broken?

I found the problem. I was using Musiclab's MIDIoverLAN CP3 for the virtual port, and apparently it doesn't like Huskervu. I Installed MIDIYoke, and things are fine now.

I already had .NET 1,2, & 3 installed, so that wasn't part of the problem.

Thank you all for your helpful replies!

Re: Huskervu broken?

Hi.

Well, I wouldn't roll back to SP2 just for one program. Huskervu is old, and doesn't seem to be updated or supported.

Just thought I'd see if it's only me.

Thanks.

Huskervu broken?

I've been trying to set up Live 7.0.15 with a BCR2000 and Huskervu. I am pretty sure I have everything routed correctly. However, Huskervu will not show my data. Sometimes it is blank, sometimes it shows "Audio 1 Audio 2" and a bit of info, but not what it should show. And when I exit, the window st...

There are many programs that will do that. Try Googling "mass renamer."
