Re: Pickup beats in clips

+1 for Ark's suggestion. Pickup notes are such common occurences it would be nice deal with them in a simple, musically logical manner as described.

Re: floating resizable windows

Yes it would be handy here ... 3 x 22' widescreens and I can't drag any live windows off onto another screen. Seems a bit of a strange restriction given I can 'float' any loaded VSTs freely onto any screen. Surely it can't be that hard to implement floating windows for the browser or clip/track view?

a little bird has told me ... keep an eye out on SSL's website in the next week or two for some news ... that's all I can say at the moment.

Re: Replacement for Rewire. Keep Live for live!

Have to say the Soundscape/Mixpander setup is extrememely stable. It will go six months without a freeze up (working just about every day). When it does fall over it's always an external issue like physical connectors, malfunctioning drives or a dodgy VST plug. I know of a guy who has a system insta...

Re: score editor!

Live, being such an accessable program to the musically untrained, has potential to be effectively used by educators in the fields of music and audio. As such, some sort of scoring facilty wouldn't go astray. There are plenty of happening musicians out there who not only read, but use scores as thei...

Re: Beat Detective-ish feature

I often wish there was something like that available for the PC. Seems like Ableton would be an obvious contender to have an 'audio quantize' function. I would like to see an audio quantizer that can treat multi track drums without altering the phase relationship of the tracks to each other. Whateve...

Re: Replacement for Rewire. Keep Live for live!

Mike... have had a look at your Scope system online... looks good. I'm curious about the stability... how is it for you? A friend used to run an older Creamware system but used to get the occasional BSOD, usually in the middle of a session.. New system looks good though ... no shortage of DSP ... Lo...

Re: Replacement for Rewire. Keep Live for live!

Don't know of a MAC equivalent for Mixpander. SSL's MADIxtreme may develop into such a thing having provision to accomodate multiple DSP chips. Currently it's MAC/PC compatible 64/128 MADI I/O card. Would be interested to hear from MAC users who might know of a MAC equivalent. Mike... not on your ow...

I have a system working like this in my studio. It's possible using an SSL/Soundscape 'Mixpander' DSP card. It features a fully configurable mixing environment with DSP powered plugs which accepts 64 24bit audio streams simultaneously from multiple programs in the Windows environment and 64 hardware...
