Re: Remove Audio drivers

Another thought: Native Instruments has a not well publicized tool for removing dregs of their software. https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003509269-Fixing-Software-Update-Installation-Issues-Windows- If this doesn’t work, you might try reinstalling it and then using this t...

Re: Remove Audio drivers

1) Set the Windows environment variable devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices to 1. 2) Launch the Windows device manager. 3) Step (1) will have enabled a formerly hidden menu item in the Windows device manager: “Show hidden devices” in the View menu. Turn it on. 4) The list of audio devices displayed by th...

Modular controller intended for photography works with live.

I recently acquired a Palette modular controller kit for use with Adobe Lightroom. When it showed up, I found that it can also be used as a MIDI controller, so I thought I'd tell you about it. The kit consists of a USB-powered master module and some number of controllers. The controllers stick to th...

Re: arturia v collection activation

If you haven’t done so already, try running the standalone versions of the plugins before using them under Live. Don’t know if that’s necessary for Arturia, but it is definitely necessary for some other plugins so it’s worth a try to see if Arturia requires it.

Re: Ableton Live 10.0.3 takes 40 minutes to load!

I used Live successfully for years on a machine about twice as fast as yours. However, it had 8 GB of RAM. Therefore, I think that if you were to increase yourmRAM to,8 or, preferably, 16 GB, you might be able to get it running fast though to use. 4 GBIs just not enough for,Live in the Windows 10 wo...

I would start by ensuring that you have the correct driver for your audio interface. What kind of interface are you using?

Re: Ableton Live 10.0.2 BIG Problem need 10.0.1

The betas generate usage reports as they run, which may slow them down noticeably. However, if the problem is gone on 10.0.3 beta, then it should also be gone from the released version of 10.0.3; and I suspect it won’t be too long until that is released.

Does the problem occur with the latest 10.0.3 public beta?

Re: Let's talk about the CPU !

In addition to possible bugs in your particular graphics card, I have encountered two other reasons for CPU spikes: 1) Perhaps the machine is not set for its highest-performance power mode. 2) Perhaps there is a problem with a cooling fan. I spent a month trying to figure out why my laptop was misbe...

Managing live performance with clips+notes at the same time?

What's a good way to use Push 2 to perform music live that combines launching clips and playing instruments over them? The problem is that at any given instant, the Push buttons do one of two things: They represent clips to be launched or notes to be played, but never both at once. That means that i...

Re: Music Theory Question

In general, chords with more than three notes have more than one name. For example, let's look at that C-E-G-B chord of your. You can think of it as a C maj7 chord or as an Em6 chord. If you remove the C, that removes the possibility of it being a C chord, and also removes the 6 from the Em chord, s...

Does APC40 MKii have a way to capture?

In Live 10, there's a "capture" button on the screen that retroactively records recent MIDI activity. On Push, you activate that button by holding the record button and pressing "New."

Is there an analogous way to activate the capture feature on an APC40 MKii?

So the solution is to move the contained project out of the containing project folder?
It's a workaround rather than a solution; but yes.
