Re: Almost come to end of my tether with Windows 10...

This doesn't sound like a power-management problem--it sounds more like an audio driver that isn't intended for low-latency applications.

Re: Almost come to end of my tether with Windows 10...

First question: What audio interface are you using? Drivers up to date? What kind of PC? Same question about drivers.

Can Live 10 beta share Live 9’s factory pack library?

I hope the question says it all: What happens if I point Live 10 beta at Live 9’s factory pack library? Will it overwrite, say, the core libraries with its own version, or is it safe to share?

Re: Live 10 upgrade path

So what would be the upgrade price AFTER Live 10 is relessed? ( from 9 Suite to 20 Suite) do you suppose? Would I be saving that much by pre-ordering? I believe you save 20% of the upgrade price. I have Live 9 Suite and was quoted $239 to upgrade to 10 Suite. That quote included the number $299, cr...

Tarekith wrote:The price is good until Live 10 comes out. There is no release date yet, it will be released when it's deemed ready and stable after the public beta.
Also, at least in the USA, if you order the upgrade now, they don't charge your credit card until it's actually available.

Log in to your account and it will quote you a price.

I have 9 Suite; it quoted me $229 to upgrade to 10 Standard or $299 to upgrade to 10 Suite, discounted to $239 if preordered.

Re: Sound Cards

With USB 2, and even more so with USB 3, you do not need a direct PCI connection in order to be able to handle only a handful of inputs and outputs. I suspect an example of the kind of device you want might be the Roland Rubix 44 ($300 in the USA) which has four inputs, each with combination mic/lin...

Confusing discrepancy between push and Live screen display

I think I must be missing something obvious about how Push is intended to be used. Here's my use case: 1) Launch Live. 2) Press the "Browse" button on Push. 3) Use the Push knobs to select a device. 4) Press "Load." At this point, my selected device is loaded into track 1, and its name displays (cor...

Re: Sample rate question

Each bit in a sample represents 6 dB of dynamic range. Therefore, 16-bit audio is 96 dB and 24-bit audio is 144 dB. 96 dB is CD quality. If your levels are adjusted appropriately, 96 dB is how much louder the loudest sounds you want to accommodate are than the quietest. Right now I'm sitting in a qu...

What kind of connectors are on the cable you are using to connect the mid to your audio interface?

I find the Push 2 browser frustrating. What am I missing?

Two aspects of the Push 2 browser are much more confusing than they need to be, at least from my viewpoint. Am I missing something here? 1) I press the browse button and start scrolling through candidates for an instrument, effect, or whatever. Why doesn't the display on the computer screen change t...

Re: Ableton Link. It's not just for apps anymore.

I'm puzzled -- because of the announcement about Max supporting Link, I expected to see a new version of Max on the Cycling '74 page; but there isn't. Does that mean 7.2.4 supports Link, or that a 7.2.5 will appear shortly?
