So they ripped off APC40, not Push.

Live Suite + Push 2 on sale

Three different USA retailers are offering $400 off the regular price for Push 2 + Suite through September 6. This offer actually makes Push 2 + Suite less expensive than Push 2 + Standard.

I have had no problems at all with my Roland Octa-Capture, or with my Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6.

Re: Melodies & Chords, in which order ?

Not necessarily. The melody can be just a sideshow to the main theme which could be the harmony of the chords in use that are telling the main story. All rules are made to be broken anyway. Well, sure, it could be conceptually . As in that could be your concept behind the piece when composing. Pret...

It would help if you could show, step by step, exactly what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.

Re: Melodies & Chords, in which order ?

Yes, it's difficult… until it isn't. By that I mean that once one has internalized a lot of melodies and progressions they may find that they can instinctively write melodies in isolation (i.e. not actively, [read: intellectually] thinking about harmony) that have strong harmonic implications. The ...

Re: Melodies & Chords, in which order ?

It's hard to write either melody or chords in complete isolation. ROTFL Melodies can always be created in total isolation! Open your mouth and sing, whistle, etc. I did not say that melodies could not be created in isolation; I said that it was difficult to do so. Because if you do, and you come ba...

Re: Melodies & Chords, in which order ?

It's hard to write either melody or chords in complete isolation. For an extreme example of why I say this, consider the following sequence of notes: F# D B (up)G F# (up)B A# (down)E D# (up)C B (down)F# E# (up)D C# C C# A F# G# F# If you're interested, try playing this melody and seeing if you can m...

Tarekith wrote:You could do it in arrange view and then export it to a new clip with warping turned off, that's all I can think of though.
But the exported clip would still have a single time signature, I think.

Is there a way to change time signature mid-clip?

Many songs have a bar or two with an extra or missing beat. Others change time signature completely in the middle. I know that it is possible to change time signature in arrangement view, but if I want to have a long clip that changes time signature in the middle, is there a way to model that in Live?

Re: Ableton asks to relocate sound files

Repairing a damaged filesystem can cause individual files to disappear. Typically this happens when the filesystem damage prevents the system from figuring out for sure what the contents of those files should have been. If this happens, your only recourse is to restore the files from backups (You do...
