When my wrist started giving me some gip (utilised a p.c. at work also - lot of mousing) I bought a Logitech Trackman wheel (the one with the trackball on the side, to be used by your thumb) - Made a huge difference.

Enjoyed that. Ages since i've heard das efx & the fu-shnickens? (damn). Don't know about 'old school' - both of those crews were very much 'new' at the time (as were naughty by nature, Lords of the Underground, all the Hieroglyphics etc.) - guess it depends on how old you are (i'm an old fart I gues...

to cover that problem; - load an open and closed hihat and a 'dummy' sample.. (this 'dummy' sample could be empty or you could set it's volume to -inf dB) - set voices to 2.. so if you trigger the open hihat twice, quickly after each other it will not self choke.. though if you want to choke the op...

For realistic/semi-realistic hi hats (open closed etc.) choke groups are fairly essential one would think. Or is there some way of creatively using Live's ...

If I set the midi from in the track set to off to be from the first track everything lines up fine. Accordingly if I have a v...
