Re: All the little detail problems with Ableton Live Collection

025 quantisation algorythm of lives midi clips is underdeveloped and on the most possible primitve stage.. it should act like a better 1980s quantisation to achive better results... +1 oh yeah, the midi quantization is horrible, and makes blatant mistakes. Such a shame, it's like every ableton empl...

Re: Are the Abes addicted to distortion?

You can never have enough FX in my view, and I hope in Live 9 there are some less conventional and more creative effects. I'm thinking that Ableton should 'borrow' some of the concepts from the likes of Audio Damage, Ohmforce, and Sugar Bytes. Spcifically I'd like to see: - more reverb options - a ...

Re: Some good tracks in there!

but some of the tracks definitely recall the glory days of the analogue synth as well employed by Kraftwerk, Vangelis, JMJ, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Yellow Magic Orchestra, etc but this album is more than a sum of it's parts and blends a plethora of old and new electronic styles and sounds. This album was all made with hardware sequencers, grooveboxes and drum machines! It celebrate...

Re: Harware Samplers - anyone still rock them?

How do people feel about the Elektron Octatrack? It seems kind of like a new 'generation' of hardware sampler, mixed with a Machine Drum. Pretty cool looking. It might be worth checking out if you want a hardware sampler. yeah that thing is sure promising, and will be kind of a new way to work with...

Re: Harware Samplers - anyone still rock them?

just because 10 years ago I wanted one but never bought it, and today it is just to satisfy an old fantasy (you know what I mean?). yeah, 25 years ago me wanted an emu sampler  now I got one. ooups 2. useless? no way... I already noticed the pleasing sound of recorded ambience samples. It's f...

Re: Harware Samplers - anyone still rock them?

I'm thinking about getting an EMU - e4xtultra> I heard my friends Emu and it sounded amazing - the filters were incredible. Does anyone else still hardware samplers anymore? The emu is sort of a hybrid synth/sampler/sequencer. I'm amazed at how cheap they are- this was an $6000 sampler 8 years ago ...

Re: What's up with the new boundary for fades?

No, fades have never worked across multiple clips. ..that I understood but in my case it's the same clip, just 1, looped for 16 bars. Intuitively it should work but yeah there is a limit for the fade to span only within the last repetition... guess I never ran across that before I do one of two thi...

I guess I never ran into this before, I have been mostly recording tracks for a long time so digital arrangement becomes fuzzy now... I would have to use a track volume control curve instead of those nice fades

ehm...

forgive me but..
just to check... you've clicked the 'volume' box of the track...
no the fade box of the track

I know I could have done a volume fade, but now I use "fades" for fades outs witch isn't that weird

sorry, hard to explain, for exemple the 1 bar clip is just repeating itself for 16 bars, and you want a 4 bar fade out

I taught that it worked before, no?

Re: Toggle Midi NOTES?!

use clips in the session view, 1 for each note you need, and midimap

btw you can make clips that loop "note on" indefinitely until you hit that note again

What's up with the new boundary for fades?

I am sure it did not work like that in previous versions!!!! If you have a looped audio clip in the arrangement, and if you want a long fade out, well you can't anymore cause the fade can't be longer than the last repetition!!!! ???? what's up??? anybody can comment on that? ...It happened in recent...

Re: Fix the sync issues now !! yes or no ?

modern macs have an allmost as good clock as ataris..plus higher bandwith and more midi ports. so the actual state of apples is that midi is better than on an atari.. since 2 years ... the very first versions of os x was als very good..but after the purchase of logic the mid went down the drain for...
