I haven't found this an issue with self sampling audio clips... but it is also an issue for VST effects as well, and seems to be worsened when you use offboard gear like the powercore... Still keep in mind that there is a trade off between Live being live... and it being yet another studio product....

For now, to overcome this you'll need to self sample a loop with a little extra... and then move your warp marker to the proper sample location for the start of the sound. This can be a pain and a waste of drive space, but as far as I know this is the only reasonable way to deal with this issue for...

Instead of the oh-so linear way of composing before. Agree, the most creative app around.... suits my live triggerring/ improvised song structure style too.... Just a small, and sometimes un-noticeable latency problem. Clearly noticable for percussion, could not understand why a bass drum combo sou...

Re: Can someone confirm incorrect VSTI midi timing

I read this whole thread and find this TERRIBLE. I just bought Live 4 2 weeks ago and were not aware of that. This borders on freaking fraud!!!!!!!! More than 500$ for a music app that can't keep it's timing.

Ableton, this is VERY BAD!!!!!!!!!!

...some vst do rehact to PC and some do not. It depends on the vst. Some also do some noise when changing patches. So test if, and if it does not work then use 2 instances.

CC filtering MIDI plug

While playing layered synths, sometimes I would want certain midi controllers, (like mod wheel) not to reach certain synths. One simple way to have this and more is to give us a midi CC filtering plug. BTW, there is a lot of midi VST plugins that can't be used in Live because in a midi track you hav...

I agree, and need that feature also.
