Re: Could TV networks benefit from Live 8's new limiter?

External Instruments: What's Your Setup?

I'm interested in knowing how you are incorporating your sound card, synths, mixing board, FX, etc., into Live. If you have experience using external instruments with another DAW, how does Live compare with it? Also, how have you configured your template? Do you use Live's "External Intrument" or "E...

Over the past 40 years, this class of people have become a throw-away society that's propping up numerous industries prop...

Re: Help needed lifting samples into Sampler.

Instead of dragging an Impulse to your empty midi track, drag a Drum Rack. Use the same process shown in the video to copy a highlighted portion of the loop to one of the Drum Rack's slots. Each slot in a Drum Rack uses a Simpler, which can be converted to a Sampler by right-clicking the title bar o...

Re: What version of live should I use?

Don't limit yourself. Try the latest version of each release, and choose the one that gives you the best performance for your needs.

Of course, the trade-off of using an older release is not having the latest features, but depending on your needs, it might not matter.
