key command or near transport box for count in

I often like to change my count in depending on if I'm tracking or editing/mixing. I'd love it if this wasn't something you had to dive into preferences for. A key command would be most helpful, or having it up int he big area with the transport and quantize menu would be fine too. Not a huge deal, ...

Re: Do you reckon Native instruments are going to build a daw. .

The market is pretty saturated. What would they bring to the table??

Re: Track won't un-arm.

Turned out to be a midi/sync thing. Turning off my mackie control from the midi/synth prefs solved the problem.

Re: Track won't un-arm.

email to support@ableton.com sent...

other info:
Audio From - Ext. In 1/2
Monitor - Auto
Audio To - Master

I tried switching each of these to different settings and nothing fixed the odd behavior.

Re: the abilty to view several midiclips on top of each other

This feature is very nice in other daws where I do composing, but I haven't needed it in Live. Not sure how they would incorporate it into the current interface... If they could do it without messing it up to much I'd like this, but otherwise I'd rather keep the clutter out, personally.

Re: Track won't un-arm.

It occurs on every session with either audio or MIDI tracks. Basically it happens no matter what session I open. When I start the program and it pulls up the standard ableton template (one audio track one midi track), the first track is ALWAYS record enabled and it will not un-arm. I tested a couple...

Re: CHEAPER PLUGIN PRICES!!!

thing is Native Instruments does the same thing in it's own realm with Komplete. Komplete is a steal at $500, add up the cost of what you get individually and it's thousands. Kontakt 4 alone is $380... Waves plugins? ridiculous separate, but some of their bundles are competitively priced. (not that ...

Track won't un-arm.

I get this on occasion... and it is happening right now in a session. My first track will not un-arm. I click it at it blinks back to red. I can arm and un-arm other track just fine. I've tried switching the arm exclusive off and on... Is this a bug?

Re: suite vs normal

try before you buy. If you like at least 2 of the extras then its well worth it. I also think that if most of your production stays in Live it is well worth it. But make sure they are something you need, as why spend money if you don't...

Re: Ableton You Should Give Something Back To The Loyal Users!

If you ask me Ableton should only release one version of Live, with all tools and synths included, that way Ableton could save money and ressources, and all users would be treated the same way. At the moment i become the feeling that you are treating the users in different ways which isnt a fair po...

Re: Where's Live's "real" Reverb?

I'm going to respectfully disagree. I personally really like Live's reverb and it is probably my favorite algorithmic reverb our there. I seem to be in the minority hear but what can I say? Warm Hall and Long Ambience are two of my favorite presets... and I adjust the room size and time to taste. I'...

Re: Amp reivews

I posted in the 8.2 a bit about what I thought of it. It was a fairly brief test. At first I didn't like it, thought it was to crisp and brittle sounding. But eventually after some tweaking I got it to sound fairly similar to the similar modeled amps in Line 6 gear (which is what I am very used to)....
