does Push only work with supplied USB cable?

I've tried using Push with another long USB cable (the supplied one is SHORT!) but I keep having some pretty strange malfunctions. Pads not working, things freezing up, one time I had a drum track selected but the chords from another track started lighting up as if I had an instrument track selected...

Can Push not work with looped clips in arrangement view?

I have a looped drum clip in the arrangment view and when it is selected Push will display the usual layout but the step sequencer will not reflect the loop, like it does perfectly in session view. Seems strange that it doesn't work the same as in the session view so I wasn't sure if it was a user i...

Re: The occasional freezes of Push

I get freezes a lot with the cable directly plugged into my macbook. Sometimes the pads will still light up in response, but hitting them will do nothing. Other times it will sort of freeze in whatever state it was in and will not change or respond to direct or through ableton changes. If I restart ...

scale/key signature and push

It would be nice if you could set a key signature in Live and Push would automatically configure the scale to that key. Imagine if you could place different key signature markings along your timeline or scenes, and Push would automatically change to the corresponding scale when you are using it.

Re: score editor!

why are people so against it? I'm against it and the main reason is fear of it bloating Live. If they could truly add it in without hindering Live's performance in anyway then I wouldn't be as opposed. The thing with score editors is when they are attached to record/sequencing software they are ter...

Possible to browse other folders/areas with Push?

can you browse other folders with Push? Right now with the browse section it only covers the instruments section of Live. Can you use Push to browse and add plugins? or audio effects? or other sections of your "places" in Live 9?

Re: dropouts appeared in audio files after opening a session

It's definitely in the files. It plays back the same in the finder and in pro tools, and I can see the dropouts in the waveform.

dropouts appeared in audio files after opening a session

I did some recording over the last few days and in one of my sessions, just one, there are drop outs recorded in the recorded audio. The thing is these clicks and pops from the dropouts were not there yesterday as they were played back in the session multiple times with no problems. Then today I ope...

multitracking in session view possible?

I'm trying to figure out if this is possible. Can I start recording in session view, all record enabled tracks? It would be amazing if I could just hit the scene I want and all record enabled tracks started recording. Feels like it should be possible but I haven't been able to figure it out.

clip and scene based volume and pan changes

This would have to be an on/off thing, maybe like revert to arrange, cause otherwise it could play havoc to your arranged. but while you are in scene view, imagine if when you click a clip on a track the volume changes to whatever you have it set on that clip... so make a clip, starts at 0.0 then ma...

Re: why is zooming shift + on the laptop?

Depends. Are you on windows? On my imac you have to press shift to get + in the first place, which is why I came up with a one finger shortcut. On mac... aahh it's the 10digit number pad that threw me off. I always used the + and - on the number pad before I got the laptop and there was no need to ...

Live's project filesystem question

Anyone know of an option to consolidate a project so that all errant files are copied into the project folder? I'd like to be able to move projects around from computer to computer without getting all the missing files messages and then have to locate them or copy them over from the other computer.
