Re: Merge midi clips

I was wondering about this too. Glad to know it's already been officially answered — thanks!

Re: How to snap Live window to a fixed size reliably?

Anyone know about this? Other Live tutorial-makers, perhaps?

How to snap Live window to a fixed size reliably?

Friendly greetings! I do Ableton Live video tutorials and am looking for a way to quickly and reliably snap the Live window to a given size , like 1280x720. The reason is because it helps with editing, and ultimately, outputting. Resizing manually becomes a matter of trial and error; my full screen ...

What's the quickest way to render a MIDI track to audio?

I'm looking for the most efficient way to select a MIDI track and render it to audio . Currently, as I've learned from this forum, what I do is freeze a MIDI track, then drag it onto a blank audio track. I'm also aware in realtime, I can record the audio output of a MIDI track — for long passages, t...

How do I put fave Audio Unit plugins in a single folder?

I've been organizing my faves in Ableton Live. Is there a way to sort Audio Unit plugins (not individual settings) in a single folder? I notice by default, they're organized alphabetically by manufacturer name — with each manufacturer having a folder — but I'd like to make a new top-level folder whi...

Re: Batch Rendering

I found this thread via search for "batch"; I'm in a similar situation because I have various projects I'd like to do File menu > Export Audio/Video for, and then go to sleep while my computer does the hard work. It's very useful to have and if Ableton won't do it, I wonder if there's an ingenious 3...

Re: How do I copy grouped tracks from one project to another?

Hot damn! Like many things in Live, that was easier than I expected. And makes sense too, in hindsight. I was looking for a button when all along... I just had to drag. Thanks jaaaku!

How do I copy grouped tracks from one project to another?

Friendly greetings! I've spent some time setting up Kore as a multitimbral plugin in Ableton Live. This required some audio & MIDI channel routing both within the Kore plugin and Live. I've grouped them neatly into a track (thank goodness for Live organization). However, I don't see how I can save a...

Re: Easiest way to set Ableton Live window size on Mac OS X?

Thanks, I hadn't actually tried that before and it may come in handy in the future.

Still looking for a way to easily force Live to a specified window size (where it does show the Mac menu), tho. =)

How to manually enter MIDI Map #s?

Here's my problem: I have a Torq Xponent which I want to control Ableton Live with, including via the XY pad. I enter Live's Options menu > Edit MIDI Map and touch the XY pad, trying to drag just along one axis. One axis gets recognized as expected (3/9), but no matter what I do or how carefully I d...

Easiest way to set Ableton Live window size on Mac OS X?

I'm making videos for fun and educational purposes using Ableton Live. How do I easily lock the Ableton Live window to a specific resolution, for example, 1024x768? I tried several means, including MercuryMover — but that program fails to recognize Live. The creator kindly took a lot and explained: ...

How to raise Simpler polyphony above 32 voices?

I'm very, very fond of the Ballroom Piano sound in my Live Suite 8. However, it seems the Simpler polyphony is limited to 32 (!) voices, which isn't enough for really epic, sustained runs. Is there a way to raise this higher? (It appears Sampler has the same problem?)

Thank you.

Re: Piano key visualizer, shows which MIDI notes are pressed?

MidiKeys on Mac is great fun. Wish it showed all 88 keys but I wrote the author, thanks for the tip. Made a little video with it. Some of the other plugins look nifty but are only for Windows — hope they're of use to someone here. Will have a look at the key zone editor! Any more tips for scalable M...
