Re: running ableton live with 2 outputs

As was mentioned earlier, you will have to create an aggregate device with your internal sound card in order to add another 2 outs. This should give you 1 stereo out on your audio interface and 1 stereo out from your computer. Creating an aggregate device works on a Mac, search the topic to see how ...

Re: E...........L..........P

I'll chime in with my experience and opinion. I've owned an Epiphone LE 1956 Les Paul Goldtop and a Gibson Les Paul Studio 60's Tribute Goldtop. Both guitars are of the Les Paul variety with P90 pickups, but varied most substantially in their finish and the additional chambering of the Gibson's body...

Re: About live performance and delay compensation.

Did you setup the delay compensation as shown in the Ableton tutorials, or are you just turning it on with its default parameters?

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...

I can't help but imagine that this is just a way for live to test out new features without telling us that they are going to do something new. It's...just...so....similar... It looks like Ableton is already spearheading that through other means. This link is from their twitter post and mentioned by...

Re: Workflow Help: Cropping Samples

You're probably right. I think it's just the GUI that I prefer in Session view: Tracks are lined up more like a hardware mixing board Track volume fader is larger and easier to read, with dB marks Panning is visualized as a knob rather than a strip with a numerical value I think these are just prefe...

Re: Workflow Help: Cropping Samples

I would end up warping the tracks so that I could get some sort of "scrubbing" or "fast forward" functionality for a sample while in session view, which is where I like to do the mixing. Nevertheless, I agree. I end up turning warping off once I dump the cropped samples back from session view to arr...

Workflow Help: Cropping Samples

Can anyone help me improve my workflow with Live? I'm recording live performances, which result in up to 24 individual WAV files (samples) of instruments/mics/sources that are up to 2 hours long. I then want to get these files into Live, and crop the samples into individual songs/tracks. They would ...

Re: Anyone mapped their APC40 to Traktor?

Hi all, this is misa from the djtechtools forum...i just noticed this thread today. I'm glad my initial APC40 to Traktor mapping is of use to someone. I'm looking to create a new mapping for Traktor 1.2 and post it up by the end of September. Anyone have feature requests? I'm also available to answe...

Re: APC40 footswitch problem

The APC40 has 2 footswitch inputs that detect ON/OFF states (MIDI 0/MIDI 127). They do not support expression pedals which can give you access to the range of MIDI values.

Re: i want to cue with ableton and my new apc40....yeah noooob

I've been very happy with my Presonus Firebox (FireWire). You can find them used for around $150 on ebay if you have time to deal with auctions. New ones go for around $250. The new NI Audio 2 DJ (USB) looks like it should be nice and still budget friendly ($120). Echo AudioFire 2 (FireWire) goes fo...

Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions

I created a MIDI layout of the APC40 so people can see the note and CCs the controller puts out along with their respective channel. http://www.djtechtools.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1088&d=1244082947 Hope it helps someone out. Is there a way to post a PDF in this forum so that the layout...
