"Commit" Arpeggiated notes?

Is there a way to do what the Commit button does with grooves with Arpeggiators? I've tried arming a Midi track and inputting another midi track but it basically doesn't do anything that copying and pasting wouldn't have accomplished. I just get an exact copy of the midi notes of the first track and...

Re: Impulse similar overview for Superiour drummer

That's great! I was just about to post a question on how to use this with Drumazon but then I figured out you just need to click the "internal sequencer" switch in Drumazon. you can do this real easy. use a midi effect rack and create different chains with each key name. the following adg for live 7...

Re: OT: Quiet PCs

After reading http://www.silentpcreview.com I built myself a quite PC and along with an Antec P182 case my Seasonic power supply is amazingly quiet. Make sure you don't use any small fans either. 120mm fans can move as much air as smaller fans even while spinning slower so they make less noise. I us...

Re: How to make the sound stutter ?

Aha! doogs. I think I remember doing it that way too with an arpeggiator in Reason's NN-XT.
It's even more useful than the previous method because you can automate the size of the "chunks" plus you also have a gate length knob in the arpeggiator.

Re: How to make the sound stutter ?

That works quite well except for the popping when the sample starts at a place that's very far off the zero line but that's to be expected. The same thing happens when you drag the sample start time around in Reason's NN-XT. I can see automating the sample start time and creating all kinds of effect...

Re: I'd STILL kill for a good LFO filter for dubstep bass

This thread keeps on going :)

It would be good if someone could explain the best way of doing this with Operator.
There's a good tutorial on Youtube on how to do it with Simpler but doing it without samples would be nice too.

Re: Favorite-ing presets like in Reason?

I just made a new folder in "File Browser 1" and named it Favorites. I see that I can drag devices over the little 1 icon and into the Favorites folder. It accomplishes the same thing as Reason's Favorites folder I guess. In Reason you can add presets to your "favorites" so they're easier to find. I...

using a pitch wheel as a mod wheel?

Is there a way to use a pitch wheel like a mod wheel? Pitch wheels always snap back to the center position because they're spring loaded obviously so when you let go it will always be at position 24 of 48 for instance. Is there a way to tell Ableton 8 that the center position is actually 0 and to ig...

try the right click method first, maybe?

Before going through disabling User Account Control you can simply try to run the installer as administrator by right clicking on the .EXE and choosing "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR".
If that doesn't help then you will have to temporarily disable UAC following the steps in the previous post.

And its all so simple too.....madness I LOVE the sounds on this album and lots of The Knife's stuff. GTG Micro Keyboard 3 is nice. I was wondering if someone had created something like that.
