Re: Live suddenly ceases to receive MIDI from controller

I am having similar problems (on windows 7) and they are not restricted to live. Occaisionlly USB devices like my audio interface and a keyboard will just stop working. For example, I open up FM8 in stand alone mod and playing on the keyboard doesn't work but it I play on the soft keyboard it is fin...

Re: tea drinkers

I think maybe H2Only knows about me. Oolong, I make is in one of those little tea pots. Put in lots of leaves, hot water (not boiling), leave it for about 10 seconds then pour. If you prepare the tea that way you have more control over how strong it is. You get the flavour of the tea without i...

Thanks for the recommendation

Re: Cracking Noises with Live Guitar Recordings

I had some cracking noises when I tried to record guitar, so I checked all my set up stuff and it was OK. The crackling noises seemed to come and go, sometimes very bad, sometimes hardly any at all. Eventaully I came to the conclusion it was static because I was wearing a fleece top. So I changed in...

Re: end of the world

I'm starting to lose count the number of predicted 'ends of the world' that have come and gone. There's a Jehovah's Witness hall near me, not so long ago every time I walked by they were haranguing everybody with cries of 'Repent, Repent!'. They are a bit quieter these days

Re: I feel like Lexicon cheated on me!

I try to only buy stuff when it is on sale.

That's how I got my NI stuff, just wait for their Christmas sales then bought one item at a time.

I do it for clothes too, happy times are coming soon. :D

^ that's just the good old days when you could and you wander round the stones. Now there's fence 50m away and you just have to look from afar.

Still at least there's a quality visitor center on site (< irony)

Re: end of the world

Well it's 9:30 here and we're still OK. I just done my Christmas shopping so I am all set :D Just in case things go horribly wrong I'd just like to say two things: First, it has been a real pleasure to know you fellow forumites, you have both helped and entertained me. Second, in case any you are wo...

Re: Crackles while recording guitar

I tried recording with the guitar pluged straight into the audio interface (Hi-Z setting) and it was better but there were still some crackles. BTW on the multi effects I was just adding a little gentle compression and the gain every where was at a fairly low setting. Thanks for the replies, I will ...

Re: Live 9 Pricing

As I said before, I think what Ableton have done is bad practice. Saying 'oh we made a mistake...' is lame. They had 3 years to get their pricing right. They knew it would be a keenly awaited launch, they should have prepared. I am voting with my feet. My licence is up for sale on the 'for sale' for...
