Re: e-drums trigger too many notes in drum rack

You can use the MIDI Velocity Effect as a gate to block lower velocity notes from playing. Set Mode to Gate, set Range to 127, out hi to 127, Out low to 0 and 'lowest' is the one you need to play with to block out certain notes below a certain value (I think so PM me if I remember that wrong...)

Exactly -- I set my slicing presets in Simpler/Sampler with long release.

Re: Ableton to Serato: The Bridge

Hi, Just to clarify, you can also select your own audio interface in Ableton Live, the sound doesn't have to go through Serato Scratch Live. Regarding MIDI Controllers, you select the APC40 or Launchpad as you normally would in Ableton Live. The 'ring' in Ableton Live will be synced with the Ableton...

Re: selecting return channel via apc40?

Live has support for Return and Group tracks natively -- I believe starting with 8.1.1, but certainly in the latest beta (8.1.3b2) Return tracks show up after the rightmost track on the APC. Just navigate past your last track and you can use the track selector buttons to select a return track. FYI, ...

Re: Apc40 and 20 in combination mode, Track Control??

Hi Guys, When an APC40 and APC20 are hooked up, the Track Selection buttons on the APC20 automatically work as Track Selection (with no shifting). The APC40 is used for navigation as well as transport and MIDI overdub. When multiple APCs are hooked up, the topmost one in your preferences is tracks 1...

Re: APC6000

I can tell you with absolute certainty that the album cover of Thrust was discussed when we were thinking about a setup that could include an APC40 and 5 APC20s in combination mode. Herbie came to our booth at NAMM, gutted I missed him.

Re: need 200 more dollars for my roatan trip

Hey John,
Go to Utila it's cheaper and more fun (I worked there as a divemaster before Ableton). PM if you want details on Utila -- whale sharks, mantas, etc. However the shark dive on Roatan is amazing.

Re: Note mode for APC 40

Hi Guys,
I responded in the other thread on the same topic, but here's the deal: Andy Kyte DID pass the message to the APC40 designers. We're in Culver City at Akai's offices discussing exactly these kinds of wishes.
I'll keep you posted.
