Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions

Just to clear this up, it does have Green clip launch buttons, and green rings around the encoders.

Green/Amber/Red are standard tri-color LEDs. If we wanted anything different, we add $200/€200 to the end user price.

Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions

Hi Guys,
FYI, the green color you see is due to the film editor's color correction, sorry!

Yes, the crossfader is replaceable, from the rear of the unit.

NICE. I lived on 42nd and Pine for a few years, and on 40th + Baltimore for a few years (but I'm from Roxborough...)

Re: DJ Jazzy Jeff, an Ableton Live user.

We'll have a full movie and interview soon. He's an inspiring dude, and his beats are as incredible as his DJing. Here's some free remixes he just did in Live and put up on King Britt's website (another Live user): http://www.fivesixmedia.com/2009/03/my-faves-volume-1-jazzy-jeff-free.html Philly rep...

Re: Motu Volta on MOTU's page

I'm going to wait for Max for Live to make one of these ;) From what I understand, all you'll need is a small cheap device to convert audio to DC that goes on the output of your standard audio interface. Then I can use an External Instrument device as a plug in to control my Sequential Circuits Pro ...

It's a known issue and we're working on it. We hope to have a bugfix update before the APC is released.

"if i understand correctly you can't midi map the top encoders without losing the auto-mapping to device features of the bottom set. Hopefully i'm wrong."

You're wrong ;) The first post on this thread describes the mapping.

Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions

Hi All,
FYI, the official release date of the APC40 is May 30th in the US. They will likely sell out that day from what I hear.
The rest of the world dates will vary slightly, but will all be around the same time.

Re: mp3 timing issues

Every different MP3 encoder out there puts a little bit of blank space at the beginning of the audio file once it's been converted, and every one puts a different amount of space at the beginning of the file. It's not a Live issue, but an issue with converting Aiff or Wav to MP3 in general. I'm not ...
