the colour depends on where on your launchpad is listed on the control surface preferences page. their are 6 slots, each one has its own colour.

just make sure the groove is already being used in at least 1 of the clips then select all the clips then select the groove from the little drop down menu in the clip properties.

you need to run the setup from your start menu/programs after you have installed from the disc. IIRC there's something a bit weird about the install from disc, it makes you think you have done the install but all its done is install programs to your start menu that have to be run/installed. somethin...
