Re: [ot]: How afraid are you of the future?

We are all products and creators. Yes. In my opinion we start out as products then we grow, and as we develop, our ideas and behaviours change and we contribute and therefore become 'creators'. Actually, I'm inclined to say that this philosophy of externalizing blame and avoiding responsibility is ...

Re: [ot]: How afraid are you of the future?

@ Grandmasterbird i totally get it. but i also see it a bit as an excuse to say... "i think that people are products of their environment so I do not think the young people are to blame, but more the world around them." because my point is that they are as much the creators as anyone else, especial...

the only thing that scares the hell out of me is the ultra fast and massive increase of stupid and uneducated people in wealthy countries./quote] Perhaps that's because in wealthy countries there is a 'safety net' i.e. benefits, dole money etc etc. In poorer countries where there is no safety net p...

Re: [ot]: How afraid are you of the future?

An inability or a lack of will to look at the bigger picture = FAIL

On a lighter note, I just tried a battered mars bar for the first time. It was nice but it was wrong. Very wrong.....

Re: Allen Carr's Easy Way To Stop Smoking

Good stuff. I gave up smoking a few years back by using sheer stubbornness!

The thought of smoking now turns my stomach. Cant believe I used to do that to myself.

I know a lot of people struggle with giving up so if you can find something that works for you then good stuff.

Re: Using Reason With Live?

Hmmmm....thanks guys. I do like the thought of everything being 'self contained' if you know what I mean. Going on what I do know of it and what's been said here that maybe it's a bit less flexible, but I sometimes look on the narrowing of options as being a good thing. To be honest though I cant se...

Using Reason With Live?

Does anyone here use Reason alongside Ableton Live?

If so then what are the advantages/disadvantages of doing so?

I'm just curious as I'm not very knowledgable about Reason and I've heard very good things about it lately...

Thanks!

Re: Trouble recording external synth in sync.

I've had this problem too using Live 5, I just upgraded to 8 so I'm hoping that when I get round to properly exploring it there will be something to make my life a bit easier! The way I got around it using 5 was to use the track delay function as already mentioned to get it in time whilst playing ba...

Re: Is there a lack of moderation in the General forum?

A word or two of advice for you, ars gratia artis: I've tried to voice opinions similar to what you're doing here earlier, but there really is no point: a thread like this will never amount to anything but a trench war, where you are hopelessly outnumbered by a) a bunch of sexist internet wankers a...

Re: Is there a lack of moderation in the General forum?

Thats my "Do you look at the toilet paper between wiping your arse" thread out of the window then Nice! I reckon there should be tighter moderation so topics like 'jizzing over your partner while they sleep' can be moved to an off-topic section of the forum. I cant say I read that thread as the tit...

Re: RIP Technics

I had to pipe up when i saw some of these replies.... finally!, what took em' so long to let the dinosaur die? can't wait for the day they disappear in clubs entirely. Why? They're f*king awesome and need some skill to operate. I may be old fashioned but I for one wish there were more Technics turn...
