Re: Oh dear

Wouldn't surprise me if they did start to neglect the mac (but that article is both reaaaally camp and taking it too far) Only 3 real reasons to buy a mac: Music, Photoshop or because you have lots of money and want all your mates to be jealous of your sexy white slab thing when they all have to use...

Kaskade remix

Grabbed the stems for this while beatportal were doing one of their remix comps. Had no intention of entering it (don't have hundreds of fans to vote for me ;) ), but I enjoyed seeing how the track was put together and liked it enough to have a bash at a remix. Check it out, comments and criticism a...

Re: MINI LAPTOPS - any one using ???

One of my laptops is a samsung q210: it's a proper machine, and you can pick them (or the newer equivalent) up for about £500 these days (I paid about £600).

Otherwise, Sony do quite nice small laptops that can take on the big boys power-wise.

Re: WWDC

I have a video editing thingy on my work laptop with the insanely good graphics card and super-high res screen (we get top of the range sony vaio ones -> being a developer has its perks) and I don't give a shit about that either ;)

Re: Help from any U.K. user....

put the postcode last before the country mate, it's generally all they look at. (Or at least the first thing they look at) The more redundancy you have the less likely it'll get lost at the sorting office so yeah include the county (but it's included in the post code anyways in a slightly more accur...

Re: WWDC

Worst. Announcements. Ever. Farmville, new slinky phone just after every fanboi already wasted their beer money on the iSquare, video editing on your phone (!?), they renamed the iPhone OS to something less catchy and they've finally implemented something that Hitachi invented in 1996 (IPS). Can we ...

Re: deamau5 blip/bleep

That's not actually Mr Zimmerman, it's JELO (Who's done some very funky shit) with the mau5 doing the mastering and drums as he did with Kaskade. Most of the noises in there are simple saw sounds with some filters and glide as far as I can tell, with some pitch mod in there for good measure. (Agree ...

Franky: MFB Kraftzwerg demo

Hey folks This is not so much of a proper track as a bit of a demo for my MFB Kraftzwerg. Got it at Chrismas and I've been trying to work it into my workflow since then. That thing does rather chunky sounds, as you'll hear, but it's a git to get in tune (As you'll also hear ;) ). http://soundcloud.c...

Re: MFB Kraftzwerg or doepfer dark energy

I have a kraftzwerg. It's bitchin'. HOWEVER: it's a bugger to tune and the midi can be a bit tempremental, I've heard that the DE has much better build quality. On the other hand, it's fat as fudge and can do an excellent pad, whereas the DE is only a single oscillator so it's more of a simple lead/...

Re: Drum pad control (Maschine vs MPD vs SL pads)

I like my MPD18.

But, to be honest, I still prefer to drawn drums out by hand most of the time.
