I don't think we're likely to find anywhere where we can krank out lappys and start playing tunes at this kind of short notice: you'd need a fair few of you and an empty bar really. I vote we just pick a bar and get a few pints in, chat about music and Live and stuff, and save laptops for the theore...

I buy Klotz cables, and I can generally tell the difference from the cheapo ones I have. Depends what you're plugging it into though ;)

To be honest, using users as a testing medium is practically an accepted practice these days. Without the ability to hire 1 tester per 2 coders (a luxury afforded by really large companies only), you're not going to catch all the bugs in a piece of very complex software. Live is a VERY complex piece...

yeah, the brick came up when I did a search aboutt on google, it's meant to be ok but not amazing for colouring purposes.

Allanaceflyer - first hand experience would be great but I doubt there's anywhere in manc that has one, neither of the shops I usually go to stock tghat kind of thing!

I'll be interested to see if it's still Eaton kiddies with no useful life experience and no understanding of how something that is acceptable in 90% of youth culture is probably not worth banning doing politics by the time I'm 40.

Are you sure the Art Tube MP you already have doesn't just need a new tube? I think there's a 12AX7 in there, which would set you back about $10. Standard maintenance costs for a tube preamp no matter what you decide on. It's a £35 preamp, I figured breaking it was probably a good time to go for so...

TL Audio 5051 was what the guy at Dawson's advised me was a good choice for that price range, but I'm not too sure.

Any comments on there?

Yeah, it's bollocks.

But to be honest, I'm more worried about the legality of the mkat ban, and the implications that has for the future in respects to a goverment doing what they feel like, even if the advisors advise *exactly the opposite*
