But as I said, it's not a M4L device but a Max patch. Fairly simple to drop it into a M4L MIDI device though. Stay tuned.

Re: Disable Midi Note OFF messages?
Any ideas? Yeah, find out why Echoloop "doesn't like" note offs. something in the design and Ableton AFAIK apparently automatically assigns a note off to each note on message. the record button is multi function. One press for record, next one for play and one long press to clear the looper. Assign...

Re: Disable Midi Note OFF messages?
yes there is Bomes, but honestly, midi learn in Ableton is so easy to use. It works for some of this VST's functions but not the most important...ie record. Fab looper (for me) and would be nice to solve this.fishmonkey wrote:or Bomes MIDI Translator...

Anyway thanks for the responses, Y'all

Re: Disable Midi Note OFF messages?
Thanks, yes, that seems to be the answer. Any chance of sharing that that M4L patch? All the midi filter devices I have seen only filter both note on and offs. Took a while of searching through Loopers Delight posts to find it was an Ableton thing or perhaps an issue the VST authors aren't intereste...

Disable Midi Note OFF messages?
As above in the title. I am trying to get the Echoloop VST working in Live, controlled by an FCB1010. Problem is that the VST's record button doesn't like Note Off messages (they switch off the record function). So what i really need is some kind of filter or some method of disabling certain note of...

Re: MAX vs Max runtime for using M4L devices
Thanks - I have Max for Live, I just wondered if by loading M4L (or a device, actually) means you have to have a full version of Max running in the background. Or does the demo expiring result in the crashes we sometimes get when loading a Max device..... :D Runtime is free (ie no demo period) and l...

MAX vs Max runtime for using M4L devices
Just downloaded Max7 for using M4L devices in 9.2 - for my system, M4L seems to take a little longer to startup now, so I was wondering if one is simply using Max for Live devices in a set, instead of for programming, if the Max runtime would work or not.

Re: SSDs, HDDs, and lots of conflicting info
well, while we are on the subject of drives: my backup HDD just died.....the computer sees the file list but that's it. time to get another - pronto Are you sure it died? Might just be a virus or the file system needs checking. will send to be checked, hopefully can recover the data. :)

Re: SSDs, HDDs, and lots of conflicting info
Which SSD did you get out of interest? Crucial M550 - based on looking at recommendations for Lenovo, but when I got the BSOD after installing I got worried. :? Anyway, hasn't happened since and really it could well have been a graphics card glitch that set that off - so many possibilities for stuf...
