I vote for Vegas to for ease of use too. Especially because it is so like Acid and really easy to visualize stuff on the timeline.................as opposed to something heavy like Adobe premiere, which maybe more "pro" but as with most Adobe stuff IMHO is not so inuitive to use. That goes for Macro...

:D Functions like Multiply are very cool - you can start from a "grain" of an idea and then use Multiply to create longer passages. The ability to have many loops and copy content forward (using overdub, multiply etc.) means that you can have A sections, B sections, C sections. Maybe the last would...

Hi,

Avast AV. Seemed wierd to me but anyway it said it was a Worm/Trojan,
sorry, but I didn't get the name of it, and I just cancelled the DL.

I was going to contact the developer but I got distracted, so if you want to go ahead with that it would be great.

Thanks,
CV

I was just downloading Mobius and my AV software registered a Trojan.

Olá George,

Sorry if this is a dumb question - in fact probably not even a solution - but what bit depth/sample rate is the FW410 set at?

And to scrape the barrel - have you been using the same FW cable each time you tested with other setups?

Good luck again,

is Live's vocal recording sound as good as the other sequencers such as Soanr, Logic. Like if I was to get someone to sing, is it possible with Live and if it is... is it as good as any other software? The reason I ask because everyone keeps saying how Live is such a loop based software... but neve...

Hi Abletoff,
So if this is a persistent prob with M Audio cards, I wonder why they haven't addressed it. :?

I use a PCMCIA FW interface on my laptop.......dunno what the chipset is though. Cost next to nothing on ebay.

cheers

Hi George, Have you set your processor scheduling in XP to "background services"? in the performance settings? Do you get the same problem when using another audio application? Live5 midi control question

Hi Everyone, I am using a fcb1010 to control LIve5, and for some reason I can't get assigned midi notes to activate things like channel on/off or vst fx on/off. There's no problem triggering clips....strange, like what's the diff? If I open up LIve4 and try it, it works, no problem.. Is there a majo...

Hi Peanut, Welcome to the forum. Live doesn´t do surround panning AFAIK. I have used it to do surround in theatre - on it´s own without true surround panning by sending 4 outs to a mixer (plus another output to the sub bass) - or by rewiring to Cubase SX, which does have a real surround panner. Mayb...

So, in conclusion, Live Lite 4 seems like the one to start with. It's only got 4 tracks, but I get to evaluate the overall outcome. Is there a way around the Demo version not saving? [/b] Jim, why don't you just download the Live 5 demo, if you only want to evaluate the application? It isn't such a...

Dunno about hi-tech stuff, but there is one street there that is full of music stores selling some excellent instruments, like oud, saz etc. I saw an electric saz in one place - damn, I should have got it!
Also Istambul is, of course, a prime place for cymbals.
