HI, I was in the same situation and did find the Live interface and approach a bit different at first...but the many ways in which you can use Live to create got me in the end - I think it is a much more open ended system than Acid (which I return to using from time to time for more linear writing, ...

Thanks,

So 5 is a bigger departure from the previous versions..............

Seems like some folks are having probs with the mp3 caching, until it gets sorted I'd just keep converting the ones I need to wavs or aiffs.

What are the big changes inside Live 5

Even though I upgraded to 5, I have been in the middle of theatre tour and after seeing some of the CPU and other glitches people were getting with Live 5, I decided to stay on the fence until 5.0.2 because I figured the company lappy I am using onstage wouldn't be able to take any extra work. Anywa...

Just found a pdf on the FCB1010 yahoo group that details my problem, so not just a recalibration but possibly a re-alignment of the led sensor in the pedal is needed.

Anyway, will switch pedals first before I reach for the toolbox!

TX for yr help.

Thanks,
I did this once when I got the FCB recently and it didn't seem to make any difference to the cross fader response - although it did enable the 2nd controller pedal to work!

Will give it a go.

Cheers.............. :)

FCB1010 controller pedal question

Hi All, I am using a controller pedal on an FCB1010 midi floorboard to control crossfading in LIve 4 and the response seems sluggish - the initial pedal movement generates no change in the crossfade, so I only have a small amount of pedal travel time that actually works - it is kinda off then sudden...

I had some very wierd memory activity recently with a toshiba laptop that had had a new install of XP with SP2. One by one tried deleting plugs and my midi floorboard and longer clips, no dice. Same problem, CPU usage was jumping to 300%. Then I went in to the XP advanced system properties page and ...
