Put me down as another one, it's the most lacking thing in Ableton and looong overdue. This would mean more to me than 10 new effects/instrument plugins. I could actually finish a complete track in Ableton If it were possible to comp vocal tracks. As it stands I always have to rewire ableton to Pro ...

Exactly! Wasn't Operator originally advertised as being capable of "warm analog sounds". I guess you can only buy operator once and Abes need to generate income somehow.

There have been recent rumours on the Mac sites that the Mac Mini is due to be discontinued soon. Since the Mac mini makes a great "Apple TV On Steroids" I am hoping they are going to upgrade it with a TV tuner built in, but maybe they are just deleting it altogether. Wasn't this before the latest ...

Awesome, thanks for the info Angstrom. One more thing, how easy is it to modify kits like say swapping the acoustic kick for a 808 kick or your own acoustic kick?

Do any of the new Live 7 drum plugs offer support for control from Vdrums like BFD or Battery. The most basic requirement would to be able to control variable open/closed Hhats I.E Control all the different positions between open and closed via variable CC msgs (Do the drum plugs even come with samp...

So I take that as a yes? Logic plugins ARE crippled to only work in Logic? Just like Live's plugins are "crippled" to only work in Live. Kind of: The difference being that Live plugins are in a format that doesn't work with other hosts, Logics ARE in a format that will work with other hosts but int...

I was the first Weedshare content provider licensed in Australia, I ran the site "Ozmusicweed" for some time until I eventually sold the site to another Australian weedshare content provider. The idea and philosophy behind the concept is sound, but unfortunately it just didn't take off, it was not w...

Are Logic 8 au plugins available for use in Live?

Or are they crippled so they only work within logic?

Thinking about selling off Komplete 4 (only thing I use is battery 3) and buying Logic studio and using ultrabeat in place of Battery within Live.

Battery 3 doesn't work properly outside Live, what makes you think it would work as advertised inside live?

Battery 2 was left with obvious and easily reproduceable bugs for over 2 years right up until battery 3 was out. Do a search on the NI forums to see NIs dubious history.

I use Ableton when out and about then rewire it back into protools when I get back to the studio so I get the benefits of UAD plugins and various RTAS plugins that arent on my lappy. I use exclusivly Abe plugins within Ableton. Abletons audio editing and comping features just don't cut it for me. Al...
