I'm thinking about selling my iMac to finance one of these, but I might miss the 20" screen. I wonder how the 1.83GHz duo would compare to a 1.8GHz G5? It might well smoke it...

My band once played a show in Sydney with a guy called Blastcorp who used Live and I think he was from Darwin.

I've had my Evolver for about a year now, and I still love it to bits. It really is like a modular. For those who want more knobs, try this on for size: http://davesmithinstruments.com/images/evo_key.JPG I'm trading my V-Synth for one of these and a bit of change, but I'm keeping my desktop evo to r...

what is chopshop? Chopshop takes a sample, say from a James Brown record, and divides up the drum hits and other instruments for you. So that means if you sample a breakbeat, chopshop will instantly divide up the hihat, snare, kick, crash, etc. and turn them into individual sample hits that you can...

Live doesn't currently support dual cores, so you can't expect the full benefit of them right now.

I think it's pretty funny that some people seem to think it's no big deal to buy a new mac for $2000 but then won't pay $49 for a software update to run their old software on a new machine. Sure you've already paid for a licence, but then again you've already got the software and it's already runnin...

Just add a midi track and put in a 1 bar loop in the session view, sending it to whichever synth you want in the usual way. Easy. ;)

You can already do this, just send midi clock. It's in preferences, Midi/sync.

This is a great idea, I was thinking this just the other night!

Having a similar ADSR or even more complex envelope that could be triggered by midi note on or clock would be awesome too.

I really hope they're going to put these features in the next update!

Yeah, I use the clip envelopes for slow lfos and stuff that needs to be synced but drawing in seperate envelopes for each note of a whole song gets pretty tedious.

Freely assignable MIDI CC LFOs and Envelopes.

A friend and I were thinking the other night, it would be great if in the midi fx there was an lfo and an env that could be assignable to midi cc or a parameter in Live's plugins. Basically they would act like a thru box, but add the data as it passed. The env could be triggered by note on or midi c...

Yamaha MSP5As cause they're small enough to fit in my studio, they have great sound for the price (and size), they translate pretty well to hifi, they're plenty loud enough.
