Re: Sidechaining - Racks, Layered Samples, & Drum Cells
Perhaps I miss the point, but you can already select a side-chain source from anywhere in any signal path since version 8, regardless of whether something is in a Drum Rack, Rack, whatever. This is what the second drop-down menu in the side-chain panel is for. The first menu only selects the track, ...

Re: Importing Return tracks and master track from a project
SOLUTION: 1) route your returns to an audio track (this is done in the track in/out view). let's call them A bus, B bus, etc. Mmake sure to do this routing on the return track (Audio To > A Bus), NOT the bus track (as in From Return A etc - because we don't our sends going to the master AND our bus ...

Re: They don't listen to us. We asked for this a long time ago.
I'm not sure if this is what is meant by midi undo, but for many years in live situations (and messing around in the studio), being able to undo and redo in a rhythmic mannor is very handy. Tweak am intense parameter and bam - undo that bitch. Very cool, and being able to have function that does thi...

Ah. I was thinking Bandwidth and Q were the same thing expressed differently. Way off on that. Thanks

What is Live's Q measured in?
For example say I want to set my BW to 120 Hz, how does that translate in Ableton's EQ8, where the Q reads from 0.20 to 18.0? Does that mean 200 to 1800 Hz? or the Auto Filter, which goes from 0.20 to 3.00? I figure that means 200 to 3000Hz. Embarrassed that I don't know this, and surprised it's not...

Re: LFO that can output midi CC
I haven't tested the live 9 beta but here is another LFO-to-anything device which also has a to > Midi CC option. Simply turn the MidiOut on, select your CC, and setup port and channel in a return Midi track. http://lokua.net/misc/L_LFO_v1.3/ btw I've never shared a device before so my apologies if ...

remote mapping without a controller?
is it possible? i control live from another program via midi, and don't always have (or want) a controller handy to map on the fly. this doesn't seem possible at the moment, unless there is some outside program that can somehow do it? anyone know of a virtual midi controller? Can I do this by creati...

Live not updating all MIDI CCs on open
The subject line says it all. I have monitored this with midiOX and vvvv. In my case I am using 16 channels and almost all controller numbers. I don't see the logic to what is and isn't updated. For example all CCs on channel 1 are updated, but only 10 out of 84 CCs I have mapped on channel 12 are, ...

Re: Beatmatching in live (not warping)
The answer is YES, and you don't have to launch two instances of live. You need to have multiple physical outs (channels) so you can cue what you're mixing in (external sound-card). Turn warping off and set launch quantization to NONE. Now your clip's pitch parameter and most importantly the DETUNE ...
