Re: My MOTU Ultralite Mk3 Review(-ish)

So you cant use the DSP straight as a plugin or somehow route the signal to the DSP without having to do I/O loop with patch chords? Bit downer..

Well OK i had to disable my audio interface from OSX soundcard configurat...

Yeah but the blue base has the real analog warmth in it. Something red bases just cannot reproduce or compete with.

Re: Anyone using a macbook pro with a SSD for audio?

64gb? you ordered an x25-e? the x25-m are much cheaper, offer more storage, and have about the same reallife performance if you're not running a high end server with thousands of concurrent readwrites onto the database or something. Oh sorry. I ordered Kingston SSDs (same as intel i think). Those a...

[bar]Kick base base base Kick base base base Kick base base base Kick base base base[/bar] will get you that basic psytrancish rolling baseline. Move the base notes around (up, down, sideways and delete some random notes) for more groove :D

Re: the os x tips thread

Wow. Soundsource, soundflower and the spacebar preview thing were lifesavers! I've been really annoyed about quickly browsing folders of photos in preview or viewIT. Even the cover flow mode in finder is a bit pain in the ass. And all this time i could have just select the folder and hit space bar!?...

Re: Audio Interfaces...Again...

Stupid question about the Ultralite: Can you insert line signal to the mic pre inputs? I'm thinking of getting the Ultralite so i could have all the 6 outs from my virus to separate channels, but that fills out all the line ins and it would be nice to have couple of extra ins just in case. Then agai...

Re: Monitors (size+res advice please!)

I think you can get at least 22" monitor with that price (i dont know about UK pricing). If the resolution gets too big for comfortable reading you can use the "zoom display" function found in the "look / feel" tab in the Lives preferences. With that you can zoom lives graphics to your taste.
