Re: MIDI Scale effect and minor scales

there are 12 semitones in an octave. so the grid is 12x12. horizontal rows represent what is OUTPUT from the effect. if there is an orange blob in a row then you could potentially get output on that semitone. the lowest row is the root note and increases in pitch as you move up the grid. so, if you...

Re: MIDI Scale effect and minor scales

I find it difficult to grok what the grid in the scale presets represents - and have found very few conversations regarding it. Can anyone enlighten me as to how to interperet it? Thanks!

I'm not having sync issues, but read through this thread to solve your volume problem: http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=154748

Lives looper loops loops live for lively live loopers!

And when the song is over, you clear the buffer and they're gone.

Re: Scared to play Live live. Suddenly.

I thought I had it straightened out, but it borked again . . . it appears to be the Presonus drivers - over at their forums there are a lot of unhappy campers. Damn. The Presonus was a bitch to get working initially, and I'm still mystified as to why after many many months of working fine its sudden...

Re: Scared to play Live live. Suddenly.

Ok - now it's the lounge! I plan on covering any laptop I use with barbed wire and live scorpions. I won't be needing the internet for a live instrument.

Re: Scared to play Live live. Suddenly.

Hey - I like this: a mac/pc thread where everyone is being quite reasonable and restrained! There is no doubt that I will have to keep using this machine for a while, but it has always bothered me to not have any backup, so I might as well start looking around and it might as well be a mac. Gosh, it...

Re: Scared to play Live live. Suddenly.

Wow. Some hair raising tales! Well, I suppose if I can get one message from this all, it is that I should be saving for a Mac. Peace of mind, more or less. So my machine is a 2.16 ghz core 2 duo Alienware, got it used for 250$ US - what is a similarily powered used mac? Which model at the least, and...
