How in the hell have I not heard of this place? They do synth repair too? I've got two synths collecting dust in a repair shop 1500 miles away right now. Oooooh if only I'd known!

Re: NI Komplete 9 - Worth Upgrading from Komplete 7?

You can probably piece it together from some other posts, but the complete list of stuff that's new or significantly updated between Komplete 7 and Komplete 9 (not counting Ultimate) is: Battery 4 Guitar Rig 5 Pro Kontakt 5 Monark Retro Machines MK2 Session Strings Skanner XT Solid Bus Comp Solid Dy...

Re: PACIFIC NORTHWEST PEEPS ANYONE GOING TO SEE PRINCE

MARK KOZOLEK recently. we went to go see him and he was amazing, but he didn't play any hits....then when he talked to the audience, he was a total prick. he just bashed portland all night, and talked about, how he used to get laid a lot more but now his shows are 80% dudes, so not as much these da...

Re: Midi interface for several hardware synths?

There aren't many options for MIDI interfaces these days. I am in the same boat in terms of not needing all that many inputs. But most multi-port interfaces have as many ins as outs- that's just how it is. I've heard good things about ESI (which störgeräusche mentioned), but those are extremely hard...

Re: specific, Keyboard controller questions...

Arent the arturia Laboratory series slim? a little bit more expensive but maybe worth to try them. I like the way Arturia's keys feel. I have their 25-key deal, the Player, and it's great, except the PB/mod joystick literally does not work at all. All of arturia's bigger boards have separate tradit...

Re: specific, Keyboard controller questions...

Just this week I decided to ditch my AKAI MPK49 simply because it takes up too much desk space. I never once used the pads, knobs, or faders, so I was also looking for small, simple 49-key controllers to replace it. I ended up going with the Roland A-49 despite my reservations about that funky pitch...

Re: Cant use live 8 instruments on live 9. Says I need Analog

Did you happen to go from 32-bit Live 8 to 64-bit Live 9?

EDIT: Also, might want to take a look at this. The Live 8 library is supposed to show up automatically in Live 9, but there are ways to force it if that doesn't happen.

Re: M1 Piano Sound!!! Please Help!

The Korg M1 used a combination of samples and synthesis for its sounds. Massive and ANA are pure VA synths, and are not capable of reproducing most M1 sounds, including the piano. OP you said you didn't want another plugin, but Lumix is right- The Korg M1 Legacy plugin really is your best bet. I wou...

Re: Ableton Midi Keyboards (Akai Max 49 or Novation Launchkey)

Akai makes good controllers. Some folks find the keys too stiff, but they feel good to my fingers. I prefer the MKP49 to the MAX49. I do not like the MAX49's touch faders or the fact that they removed the knobs. Also, it's red. I do like the layout of the MAX49's pads better (matches Live and Batter...

Re: I finally have some money!!!! NI Massive, worth it?

I'm working on some projects that will use various hardware analog synths, and I've been looking for a good VA plugin that I can use to slap together presets quickly when composing my song, and then replace my VST presets with equivalent patches I design on my hardware synths. Over the weekend I com...

Re: NI Komplete 8

1) Is it possible to transfer the ultimate package to another external hard drive which WILL make it usable from that HD 2)Is it realistic to install bits and bobs as I want them, deleating them when I have finnished. One of the main things that caught my eye was the string arranger thingy but I th...

Re: NI Komplete 8

One thing I dont like about Native Instruments is everything they made in the last few years is Kontakt or Reacktor based. The last actual real synth they made was Massive. I dont see why they cant release sample library's like Abbey Road Drums as a stand alone product rather than having it load in...

Yep, the Komplete-9-in-April rumors are seeming more credible at this point.
