Re: Audio Sequenced Gate?

Did you have a look at the Xformer.amxd plugin from the pluggo collection that comes free with Max for Live? Might not be what you're looking for, but....

Re: Filtering and mapping midi channels in M4L

Having everything on Channel One is how Live has worked for a VERY long time.

If you describe your specific setup and goals in detail, someone may have a notion of some kind of workaround....

Re: get rid of video window's gray title bar?

I don't think you've got much choice for the Live window - they almost certainly need the title bar to dismiss the window and drag it.

Re: UI for M4L Devices?

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding your dilemma, but have you chosen the Patcher Inspector from the View menu and checked "Open in Presentation" in the Inspector as described here? http://www.cycling74.com/docs/max5/vignettes/core/live_userinterfaces.html If that's not working properly, then it sounds lik...

Re: live crashes always on saving a M4L patch

Bug reports like this are less informative when they contain no information about the versions of the software you're using (Max, Live, data about your machine). Similarly, anything you can provide in terms of the patch itself and a sequence that produces your result is helpful (although difficult i...

Re: Sharing/Haaaalp- M4L Smart Harmonizer

Well, you *are* doing FFTs on the fly and then resynthesizing the results, so a certain amount of latency is always going to be present. But has it occurred to you to look at the patch you used for your starting point? It's got a delay line built into every single instance that you really don't need...

Re: Sharing/Haaaalp- M4L Smart Harmonizer

Well, one thing that comes immediately to mind in terms of CPU usage would be whether or not you actually *need* the 2048 window for all those FFTs. Have you tried any of those other powers of 2? Similarly, precisely how accurate does your pitch detection need to be? There are some other third-party...

Re: Subpatch 'DeClicker' HELP PLEASE

Perhaps the relative silence is a result of some of us wondering what's wrong with the grooveduck version. What's your beef with it? That is requires some tuning beyond merely setting it to "1" all the time based on the content being looped? Those are such common and often used solutions to the prob...

Re: Simple idea, but I dunno squat

You should *always* be careful what you ask for. I've tried to go back through the patch and do some extensive commenting on what's happening and why and how. I think that between this stuff and the tutorials and the Max help files, you should be able to puzzle it out. Good luck. <pre><code> -------...

Re: Simple idea, but I dunno squat

Nothing wrong with starting from what you don't know - you just need to find something important enough to you to be worth learning. Here's a simple little proof of concept that you can start trying to make some sense of. When you enter a track number and a clip number, it uses the Live API to do tw...

Re: long_name query

I think that if you give it a moment's thought, you might have no trouble imagining the possible trouble caused by modulatable parameters popping into and out of Live's innards in a running session. This is one of those cases where you're being protected from doing something potentially dumb or dama...
