Re: how to prevent loadbang when opening the Editor ?

The key combination should still work when clicking on the 'edit' button. If you think it is still the loadbang causing trouble, you could open the .amxd in a text editor, do a search for 'loadbang' and change it's name (aka "text" in the json) to something else (loadbangX or something) temporarily....

Re: how do i create a default "Max Audio Effect"?

As zalo said in the first post, if you *really* want to overwrite the factory defaults, you can go to the Live.app, right-click and select 'View Contents' and navigate to Contents>App-Resources>Misc>Max Devices, load one of those default .amxd, edit it to your hearts desire, and save. In general tho...

Re: Buffer adjusting problem

Thanks both of you, I can repro and we will take a look. In the future, send along steps and a simple patch so we can repro with the same method as you are using.

thanks,

Re: Inconsistent behaviour w/ editor closed vs. open editor

Yeah, I'll need some clarification in the form of a patch/device, as I'm not quite sure I understand what you are getting at. Not sure if it is useful, but if you want to use the same '---' unique number after instantiation, you could place the '---' in a message box or something and bang it out for...

Re: Inconsistent behaviour w/ editor closed vs. open editor

Hi Nick,

When you save a patcher in the editor, it essentially re-loads the device in Live.

Re: initialization error

Do you have Comodo or Panda 2010 firewalls installed? Currently there is an incompatibility with having both of these products installed and Max. The only known workaround is to uninstall the firewall applications. If you are still having problems, please drop a line to support at cycling74 dot com....

Re: Inconsistent behaviour w/ editor closed vs. open editor

This most likely is the culprit. Replacement for the '---' prefix happens on patcher load.

Re: Focus track

you will want to check out the 'selected_track' child of Song.view, which you can get/set/observe. I had this little thing floating around that might be useful for you: <pre><code> ----------begin_max5_patcher---------- 1634.3oc4Z00aihCE84zeEHz9X1JrMetus6eiQihHAOodGBDAjztcz7eeM9Z RLIAGmDWJRUUhV+AlqO...

Re: [m4L] finding the clip position and use it for warning zone

clip has a currently undocumented property, playing_position. Its absence from the MFL ref is an oversight and will hopefully be there for the next Max update.

Re: How to write into the info panel?

To my knowledge, you cannot change the main device info view text, but you can create the text for what shows up when you mouse over most objects by setting the @annotation attribute.

Re: Anyone? A way to set crossfader....

the crossfader is like any other device parameter. You can't ever "set" a parameter, but you can set it's value. the path to live.path: path live_set master_track mixer_device crossfader to set it's value, send the ID to a live.object and then send the following message to it's left inlet: set value...

Re: Delete/Move/Copy LiveClips from Max

although you can't Delete/Move/Copy specific clips, you can manage data inside a midi clip. Here is a basic example of this. Please note that you have to have a destination clip to paste into, as currently you cannot make new clips (at least easily). This maybe not be what you wanted to do, but mayb...
