you can do this with the eq eight - just make sure you change the slope type to low cut - it's the left hand icon above the freq dial.

yes please fix this. i don't mind scrolling through lots of parameters if that's what it takes. though i'm sure there's a way to select a parameter by first tweaking it in the vst/au's on gui to make it show up in live.

if you just want to get started and make some noise, i'd begin with live and start jamming about in the session view. if you actually want to finish some songs i'd recommend starting with logic. i really don't think it's that hard to learn. its true that there are a lot of features, but you only nee...

I'd love to have an option to link session view with arrangement view so that any changes made to a clip in session are reflected in arrangement, and vice versa. yes i'd also love to have that option, the previously mentioned 'alias' clips. of course the option to make alias clips independent from ...

It'll stop recording a new clip, yes. But if you just leave the overdub switch on, you can pretty much do whatever automation you want and toggle back and forth of it being recorded or not. I mean how many times do you need to record new clips, automation and tweak the mix of your tracks all at the...

But we already have this, right? Just toggle the record button (F9) on/off while your arrangement runs. but that stops recording everything including the clips which he wants to continue recording. i see what you mean about all the touch/latch stuff being a pain. maybe this modifier key is the way ...

OT: Content aware image resizing

Wildly off topic I know, but thought I'd post it as it reminds me of Live's audio warping... but for images!

I proposed a really simple solution: a modifier (ctrl/alt whatever) so that while held everything you do is not recorded - so that you can change the value of a mixer that you dont want to automate for example that's a great idea - simple and elegant. is a global toggle enough though? or do we also...

arrange clips sounds like an interesting concept but i have a feeling i'd find alias clips more useful, together with folder tracks in the arrange window. i really have to read those arrange clips threads in more detail, but would that basically be taking the folder track concept and allowing you to...

hi, just use the overdub switch (labelled OVR) to toggle whether your playing gets recorded into the clip or not. you can leave the monitor set to Auto. the record button is just for recording into the arrangement window. a bit confusing at first, but you'll get the hang of it after a couple of reco...

oh, I think that is exactly why Final Cut never saw any update over the last decade? Or Motion or DVD Studio Pro - no real competitor on Mac for that .... hmm, all three of these were updated earlier this year in the final cut studio 2 package. motion has a major competitor in the form of aftereffe...
