i'm not sure about that. i think i'll be using logic more and more for typical DAW tasks. i was really hoping for an overhaul of live's arrange window in version 7, but that seems to have dropped off the radar. which is fine of course for a performance tool, but for regular production work, i reckon...

no alias clips unfortunately. would have been especially great if a clip in arrange was an "instance" of a clip in session - so if the session clip is edited, the corresponding clip in arrange is updated. has anyone found if there's a hotkey or midi control for "arm current track" or an "auto arm tr...

Sidechaining, tempo changes, tempo nudge, notes to self...do you have a pulse? Sorry, dont mean to be rude, you must be just focused on something unlike what I am wanting to do... fair enough, i'm using live for production not djing so i was actually hoping to see more workflow improvements in that...

other than multiple lanes of automation, are there any other improvements to the arrange window? e.g. alias clips or the ability to have clips in the arrangement update when their counterparts in the session view are edited?
If any of you like Swayzak, all of their stuff is done in Live. I think they sound pretty damn good.
i love swayzak but are you sure they do all their stuff in live? according to http://remixmag.com/mag/remix_swayzak/ they also use logic.

how to keep plugin windows open on mac?

on osx, i find that when live loses focus, all the plugin (au) windows are hidden. this is a bit annoying when trying to read a pdf manual for a plugin and as soon as the pdf reader gets focus, the synth interface disappears. on the windows version of live, the plugins stayed on screen. can i get my...

motu ultralite question

is there any way to get the ultralite to turn itself on when osx boots up or comes out of sleep mode? i'm way too lazy to reach over and push the power button each time (and reset the audio settings in live preferences).

i don't think that releasing a key on your computer keyboard triggers any kind of event (such as a note-off that you'd get from a midi keyboard).

Great thread discussion. Am I the only one who noticed that when the video makes the hard-sell, nice close-up of the Konnekt, the lyrics in the background are going "No, no, you're not the one for me..."? yeah that made me smile too. actually, i had been thinking about getting this interface...
