erm, i think he said without a mouse.

another way is to select the arrangement loop then you can use the up and down arrow keys to move it forward & back.

though selecting the arrangement loop requires, guess what... the mouse.

i've been having the same problem with my setup at home. but i just tried using the live demo at work and i'm able to overdub automation (with the mouse) without it erasing the previous parameters. so i wonder if it has something to do with the midi setup? i know that live will erase any automation ...
