Re: How would you spend my money?

Lemur, Monome 256, and Max4Live. That's ~$4,000 right there and it would be my dream. :D

Re: launchpad or monome?

I would say if you have some patience and/or money, get the monome.

Re: Launchpad User1 and User2 custom mappings

I also recently learned that if you make a track with midi out going to the Launchpad, you will get LED feedback on the buttons.

Visual feedback makes me happy.

Re: Apc40/mlrV help and issues

I will have a deeper look, but my first guess is that you have the prefix set to /40h. If I'm not mistaken it should be /mlr.

Edit: Let me know if this works, right now i don't see any other issues, but if it doesn't work I might have some more guesses.

Re: Apc40/mlrV help and issues

I know that I have to press shift+a to get to monome mode, my problem is that im not able to interact with mlrV via my apc AT ALL. I'm interested in using it both WITH and WITHOUT ableton, but im not able to get any reaction at all. Like, nothing happens, my setting aren't correct, and that's what ...

Re: Apc40/mlrV help and issues

Hey guys. Right now I'm running Ableton 8, an apc40 and monomulator with no problems. But, I can't figure out how to get my apc to work with mlrV in ableton or outside of it. I'm struggling real hard, and it's like right in front of my and I just can't seem to figure it out. If anyone can help me o...

Re: How to trance gate audio or midi? tremelo? in Ableton Live

Hmm but dummy clips or side chainig doesn't allow for rate changes :-/ A few dummy clips will DEFINITELY allow for a rate change. Just make a few different clips with the rates you use. You could even have a couple of long transitions programmed in as well as their components for improvising.

Re: best USB Hub for APC 40, Machine, USB keyboard

I've been using Cyberpower's 7 port powered USB hub for about 5 months now. I have 6 ports filled including an external HD and I have never had ANY problems.

Re: New BT album - These Hopeful Machines

Awful Dancepop crap. I really thought he grew out of the whole poppy trance thing with TBU, but apparently that was WAY off. Still, TBU is one of my favorite albums of all time. Shoveling snow doesn't seem so bad with that album in my ears.

You can timestretch sounds in Impulse. I use it in place of Simpler/Sampler where I want to have real-time timestretch available on a knob.
Cool. Thanks for the tip.

Honestly, I have not used impulse once since the appearance of drum racks. Is there any advantage in using impulse instead of a drum rack?
