Re: Choke Groups

Sound 1 and Sound 2 are in the same choke group. Sound 1 is playing, Press button for sound 2, Sound 1 stops playing and Sound 2 starts playing. Because they are in the same choke group, they will not play at the same time. Edit: Each track in session view is a choke group. No two sounds in the same...

I dunno if this (Logidy UMI3) is out yet, but it looked nice and simple. http://www.macmusic.org/news/view.php/lang/en/id/8654/

You don't need the slash in the prefix, it gets put there automatically. I don't know if that will fix things, but it's the first thing that popped out at me.

Re: [OT] Man-made global warming : myth or fact?

My problem with this debate is that global warming has become increasingly dogmatic. If you don't totally and completely agree with Al Gore and the scientists on his side of the debate, you are automatically a horrible human being who wants to eat the brains of live baby polar bears. That said, I ge...

Re: nonome = monome emulator for launchpad

How does 7up work with nonome and Launchad? As I recall, the Launchpad uses USB 1.1 8O Doesn't that mean the refresh rate for the buttons would be really slow? 7up uses blinky lights as well as solid and there are so many pages to switch between, so I was wondering if the USB 1.1 connection could ke...

Re: help me mess with a Launch Pad scammer.

Just sent this off ten minutes ago: "why are you selling it so cheAP? Is it broken or somethin'?" I got this message in response: no its in perfect condition and i just have two of them and am looking to sell one. Wow. Just wow. What a scam artist, I bet he tries to sell both. (Thanks for the idea 4...

Re: Hmm.... I wonder where they got this idea from.....?

It's really amazing how worked up people get on these forums. In the end, the solutions I and kb420 have suggested will not stop the clip playing but will achieve the exact same audible results. The clip will be inaudible when you crossfade or hit the track mute button, then when you pres...

Re: Hmm.... I wonder where they got this idea from.....?

Why would you need to stop the clip at all? Uh, because the question was about ""temporarily stop playing that clip ." The crossfader or track mute button will do exactly that. No, they won't do what McQ714 asked. If you really want to stop a clip and have it resume where you stopped, you're s*** o...

Re: Akai APC as Monome

Whoever made this video is using exclusively Ableton with follow actions. 1. 5 clips are chopped into 8 parts each and put into five tracks. 2. Set follow actions for each clip so the whole sample plays through. 3. Assign each button on the APC to a clip so that a row will display a whole sample pla...
