Re: Live 9.1 Resampling Improvements

I always play and record at 24bit (sometimes 32bit) in Ableton. I guess if I hand over a 24bit audiofile to the mastering engineer he will take care of the dithering ?

Any other issues somebody can think off ?

Re: Live 9.1 Resampling Improvements

I rarely use rendering. I Always record the master output using resampling. I think its easier and often less time consuming.

For having/delivering a master audio track: Can anybody tell me what the cons are for resampling instead of rendering ?

Do you have the latest version of M4L ? Updating helped me when I had a problem with a certain M4L device.

Re: Audio crackling with new i7 build.

Also keep trying and searching for software settings causing the noise. Just google for moving mouse causes noise etc and you will find lots of possible solutions.

Re: Best laptop for Ableton Live - on stage performance

I would probably buy/configure an BTO notebook or something similar. Easy to configure the CPU and amount of RAM you want. Get the best CPU you can afford. I think its best bang for the buck.

Re: Prepared sets Vs "on the fly" - DJing & Live performance

Do not plan as a DJ. Just having an idea where your set is going to is enough. If you are a DJ you can choose from tons of tracks. You should have the talent to know all tracks/songs you have, so you also know/feel which tracks are suited to be played next. Each next song is your point of view of wh...

Re: What do you think about this laptop for music production?

I think the same. Imo it is a software discussion nowadays. You could buy this laptop and make it a hackintosh if it makes you feel better.

W8 should be fine though. I might build a hackintosh one day because I think OSX deals better with memory. Not convinced yet so I'll stick with Win.
