http://s13.photobucket.com/albums/a263/pistonquaker/76a6b187.jpg Hiya! I go by the artist name of Fanu. I make all kinds of breakbeat music: I've concentrated on jungle and downbeat for the most part. This year, I'll be releasing my third artist album on my label Lightless Recs, and I'll also try a...

Re: PC user going to Mac, Help

I don't know (and I'm too lazy to look it up) how many USBs the new Macbook Pros have, but at least they had three USB ports in 2008. I just changed my Macbook 2007 to a MBP 2008, and it has three. It's solid as heck and definitely enough for Ableton Live-ism. If you need more, a USB hub will do the...

I just realized the tracks in the group can have their outs assigned to "group" and that's when it works as I thought it should be

Group track behavior

Why doesn't the volume fader of a group track affect the volume of the tracks in the group?

Also, why is the track activator button of the group track not doing anything?
That'd be super handy for flicking the group on/off; however, it doesn't do that.

Re: Motu Ultralite Cuts Out w/ High Pitch Squeal

I think it does have to do with CPU-load-related issues. It's now happened to me FIVE times today that while Live is playing and I'm rendering an audio file on my audio editor (TwistedWave), the BLEEEEP happens when I start the rendering process. FAAAAAKKKK. I really thought this audio interface was...

Re: Motu Ultralite Cuts Out w/ High Pitch Squeal

Shite! I'm getting this too. Only recently got the MOTU Ultralite MK3 Hybrid, and the high-pitch BEEEEEEEP happens every now and then, and the sound just dies. It happens with both firewire and usb, so no ports are to blame. Is there really no solution to this? It's so annoying, and as I wanna go li...

Re: being able to spread clips across two monitors

hmmm...would be useful, yes.
like in Logic, you can separate a midi clip view so that it's not integrated into the whole, and view it wherever you want (on another monitor if you want).

Fanu - jungle, downbeat, beats 'n' whatnot

Hi folks! :) Recently joined the forum as I got myself Suite 8. Music happens to be my job, kinda. I DJ internationally, playing jungle/d'n'b and write that as well as downbeat / beats / breaks (not "breaks" as the genre...yewww). Here's everything I've released, and to be honest, it's all non-Ablet...

A key to activate/de-activate midi notes

Like in Logic, you just select the notes and press "m" (for mute).
Very much needed.

Re: A key to solo a channel

You can MIDI map it... :) yeah man, everyone knows that, but that's not useful at all in all fairness. You can key map it too... How is it not useful? What functionality do you want out of it that key mapping doesn't provide? i want a GENERAL solo button, not a channel-specific one. let's say i hav...

Re: Reverse looping of clips

they actually did that in Sampler...I'd just like to see that to be a feature of clips as well so I wouldn't have to use Sampler for that (or use the other, "do-some-work" method just mentioned).
