Re: Export All Tracks Signal Path

you could set up resample tracks for each track you have...? record them once....then export those channels. Or preferably stop producing with something on the master track :) Yeah, or just freeze and flatten everything. I put master compression/EQ/limiting on tracks for a reason: it helps glue all...

Export All Tracks Signal Path

So I'm finally getting around to creating 8-track performance versions of my tracks and I've hit a little snag. Normally when I export a final version of a song it goes through some light mastering on the Master channel (namely compression, EQ and limiting, maybe a little light saturation). I've mor...

Re: APC and Traktor

Heh, I was being sarcastic, afaik you can only use the APC with ableton, hence why it's called the ableton performance controller. Erm lol ....Nope you can definetly use it with Traktor, its called APC because its built primarily for Ableton though. Just so you know.. Any other non sarcastic advice...

Re: Anyone mapped their APC40 to Traktor?

How about Serato? I really want to use my APC40 with serato but I am just not sure how to map it. I am sure it would be a similar method? Anyone have success? Now that "The Bridge" is available I imagine it shouldn't be too hard, if still necessary at all. Check the main Ableton site for more info.

Re: How To Tell A Good Take/Recording

You've kind of answered your own question: listening is really the number one thing you can do. That said, knowing what you're hearing and how that will translate in a final mix will only come with experience. You've probably heard the saying "A good recording starts with a good performance." That m...

Re: really simple tempo change question

I'm going from memory here, but I'm pretty sure that in Arrangement View there's a Tempo track (down at the bottom if I'm not mistaken), that allows you to draw in automation. It's definitely there. You could could also use a controller to change the tempo while recording (providing the master recor...

Re: Dual sound card setup - For DJing

Go into your Live Preferences/Audio and open your Output Config window. Make sure all your outputs are enabled (this should be 2 or 3 stereo channels depending on whether or not the headphone out mirrors the monitor/alt out). Then in Session View enable the I/O strip and on your Master channel set t...

Re: Instruments Supporting Breath CCs?

Awesome! Thanks for the tips. I'll be trying them out tonight when I get home and get a post up with results.

Follow up:
Worked beautifully and assigning it was a snap providing I played and held a note and then selected the parameter to modulate.

Instruments Supporting Breath CCs?

Hi All, Does anyone know if there are any instruments in Live that support breath continuous controls? I broke out an old toy tonight and started playing around with it in Live. It's an Akai EVI1000 sending CV to an Akai EWV2000. The 2000 converts the CV to MIDI which I then pass to my MOTU 828 Mk I...
