And the winners are??

Any news as to when the entry get judged?

I'd be interested to know how many entries where submitted.

I'm betting I'm the only one to add a new live bass line to the track .

Re: LAYERS - for MIDI and AUDIO tracks - like in Photoshop?

Hi, I would like a feature for really layering tracks all within only ONE track ! Do you know e. g. Photoshop? There are layers... you can turn each layer visible from a value of 1 to 100... so you can have several pictures on the screen THE SAME TIME... and it is though still only ONE picture! ;) ...

Can't find preference !!

Live is dead to me at the moment and I need to do a mix.

I keep on reading delete preferences.cfg to make it work again - problem is there is no file on my computer anywhere called preferences.cfg and no preference folder in any of the paths mentioned.

Ahh, cool. I never saw anything about holding control in the manual.. Must have been in some obscure section, cause i dont remember seeing it in the solo or cue section. In any case. Thanks for the headsup. Glad to be able to do multiple solos now.. And if yoiu don't want to hold control there is a...

Re: MONO/STEREO

a button to change a STEREOTRACK into a MONOTRACK!!! =) Just had to do that and ended up using my sound editing program.. If you record stereo then you should be able to select just one track rather than having to convert. If the interface was kept simple this would be great. So yeah, useful feature.

Arrange View: Scrub and other navigation forms.

I'm having to do some heavy weight arrangement and having come from a inteface background am more cynical than most with it comes to interface design. Two major things about arrange - it really really needs some kind of scrub option (see sound forge 8 for very good example) and the navigator at the ...

Sets don't unfold or can't be dragged in.

Definitely a bug this one. I have two views on things - a library view and a file view. No idea how to use the library as I'm happy with the file way of things. One of the new features of 5 is supposed to be. "In the Browser, Live Sets (.als files) can be “unfolded” to reveal their tracks and clips"...

I'm currently mixing a drum kit - I can in theory route through another channel (what I'll end up doing no doubt) but it would be nicer to have gang faders!

Arrangement Window - Fine unless you've got real work to do.

I feel the interface for the arrangement window needs to be rethought. Here's the task that showed me how bad the current one is. Load in a complete set of drum kit files, discover work out their BPM and get them in synch (odd start points of files although all the same take). First off zooming righ...

Scroll Wheel Zoom - For the love of GOD! Please............. Yes - that would be lovely - and some way to scroll quickly around the arrange window would be nice as well (that's non frustrating). I'm currently putting together a whole track with multiple parts and the whole arrange window ...
